I’m now trying a php hack to change the file directory where files are downloaded to see if moving where the downloads are served from will solve the issue.
everything under 51.1 mb in size downloads fine. It’s this one file that’s 134 mb. I can download that large file via ftp no problem but not through s2members.
There is no file size limit or download limit.
Actually, the issue is not resolved. Since moving the htaccess file I can only download items 51.1 mb or less. This sucks. I have a file that’s 134 mb and s2members fails when a member tries to download. No, it’s not an issue with my server… it’s set to umlimited. My son works for the company hosting my site and he checked.
I resolved the issue. I had the .htaccess file with long code sitting in the app-data folder withing the s2member-files folder instead of the s2member-files folder.
You solved the problem. After a freak’n week of time. I have a host I can use… friend of mine and my son works there too so I’m set. I can’t thank you enough!

found this in query monitor:

Thanks for responding!
I use https://prohosters.com/
I looked up the installed apps and there’s
phpMyAdmin 2.7.0pl2
MySQL Server 3.23.58
Apache module mod_php4 4.3.11Does that help?
Well, same news.
I ended up deleting WP completely and reinstalling everything again because, even though I completely deleted s2, for some reason it still kept the settings. I installed Aryo and query-monitor. Plainview got a fatal error trying to install and it has bad reviews anyway.
I installed s2, put in the settings and the exact same thing as the other three complete reinstalls happened. signup works up until the member tries to log in. I have the log from Query Monitor but don’t know how to read it.
I’ll let you know. been a long road for this plug in so far. I hope it works!
good. thanks for you help!
Thanks! Will do. One question. When the logging plugins are installed how do I access the info they log? Is it in the WP admin panel somewhere?
To install s2 again, is there a way you would suggest to avoid the previous issues?
