deleted plugin and can now log in the admin.

I can “delete” the plugin via FTP… just a min.

I think I see what you mean… nuke the directory only?

Thanks KTS915. The install was standard for s2. So, are you suggesting nuking s2? I did that already once… nuked the entire plugin. I can do it again I suppose. I don’t care about a back up because the settings are so easy to put in.

Additional notes:

I have another WP site with the same host but a different url. Both server functions and settings are the same but the ilearnfaster site is having login issues. Since a few minutes ago and as mentioned above, I can’t log in to the ilearnfaster admin panel. ilearnfaster.com login shows the s2 header. maybe this plugin is causing the problems… see log errors at bottom of last post.

Again, I was only having problems with users logging in, now both admin and users can’t log in. I will probably have to nuke everything for the third time and start over yet again. Very frustrating, especially when s2, host, WP are all blaming each other and no one has a solution. Huge waste of time/effort.

I am currently getting the same “No data received” trying to log in to my admin, which is new. Previously, I was only having issues with paid members logging in. Anyway, I remember my settings:

All settings were not touched except the following:

Security Encryption Key: yes

Email configuration: default that s2 inserted

Login Welcome Page: set to Members Area page which currently has no content, just a title. Slug is members-area

Member Options Page: set to Join page, which has the s2 generated PayPal button only on it. Slug is join.

PayPal was set up exactly per directions in s2. That part of the signup process is working fine.

WP: 4.0 installed last night fresh. No plugins other than s2. default theme 2013. Created the two pages mentioned above and no other settings altered.

WP: no alterations from the base install. default theme.
s2: the most basic settings to make s2 run a basic level 1 member signup. signup, paypal, user registration is working perfect until user goes to login.

Note that before re-installing the bare-bones settings version, I created a nice site with all the settings I wanted in both WP and s2. did css changes, all sorts of settings to s2 and had the exact same result. After countless hours trouble shooting, I ended up nuking everything and starting over with this most basic version… with the same result.
