Hey becca, i have had some install problems my self and still have some problems that i can live with until i figure out what they really do. But anyway i did have to erase that database information and upload everything to get it to work right. If you are like me and have a www page and want to add in WP to your site keep your css page and your index.html page of your site. but get ride of the css and index from WP. Basicly just start over and get rid of everything wordpress and start a fresh reload.

am i doing this through the Mysql?

LOL sorry very new to this. I do not know how to access the control panel can you give me direction on this. Am i logging in to my site wwwDOTmerfnetDotcom or using www.ads-software.com for the control panel. I have seen things on accessing the pages but it tells me my rating is not high enough does that help any?

i wanted to also change the time on the diffrent comments. I want to add pacific time insted of eastern is there a way to change that? I do understand that my database is most likely on the east coast. Does that effect what i am looking at.

i have dont that about 20 times and still i get a blank screen
i have uploaded it in to diffrent area to see if it makes a diffrence and still nothing

when you upload it to the WP directory in the area that the sample file is located? do i take the sample out or that will be bypassed?

ok the mysql is running now i have installed the wordpress in my web directory such as the folder that i have all the html pages under for https://www.merfnet.com I have configured the database name, password and user name and they do work with the mysql database. So i do know that it is running,
do i need to tell the webpage on the wp-config the mysql server number something looks like this cdb-1.ampira.com for the local host information? or is there a way around that.
I have opened tried https://www.merfnet.com/blog/wp-config/install.php and https://www.merfnet.com/wordpress/wp-config/install.php still nothing. and have gone throught the codex information which is a little hard to understand the second link from the above help

Thanks Macmanx, i did talk with them and they do have it but at an additional charge. they asked that if i did want it to supply them with the required information in the wp-config file. which is totally diffrent then any normal passwod you use normally to get online or using for the fpt, it a global thing like a www. page. well 3 days lost but information gained.

2. my i know what name i use for the FTP and Password, are those what i am suppose to use?
