Unfortunately – though I really appreciate a response – that does not answer my question. I am an affiliate and there is nothing that I can locate in the links you provided, the pages I have reviewed throughout the affiliate site and under the Ad Inserter documentation, where that particular link ID comes from. The only place I have found any reference to the linkid is in Ad Inserter screen shots. Nothing with that type of tag is anyplace else. When I update the code snippets with my affiliate information and the correct tracking id – but leave that linkid as it is in the snippet, I get a visible link on my website, but that doesn’t tell me anything regarding where the link in the sample snippet is coming from or what it should actually tie back to. Regretfully, I decided after spending a lot of time on this today that I would just remove the Ad Inserter plugin from my site. Unless I can find out the purpose of that specific line in the code sample, I just don’t feel comfortable using the code on my website. Thank you again for responding.
I will remove the page in question since you have confirmed I can safely do so. You might consider modifying text for that page that makes it clear it can be safely removed. If any problems encountered I will start another thread.
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Empty alt attributeI am having the exact same issue with the latest version of WordPress. I have over 1200 images!!! Is this a new requirement in WordPress that ALL images have an alt value? This is creating serious issues for those trying to edit and post for a brand new live site.
