I would never have come up with this, myself.Forum: Developing with WordPress
In reply to: How to exclude homepage from queryI’m afraid my question wasn’t clear enough.
I don’t want the homepage to order by title – just all the category pages.
As it is, I don’t know how to achieve this.It would be fine if the homepage shows the most recent additions, but by adding the code above it affects the homepage as well as the category pages and I don’t know how to fix that.

In reply to: Making breadcrumbs follow url logicThank you very much for your reply.
I tried out Breadcrumb NavXT and looking at the UI it does seem like I can set a breadcrumb path for each custom post type that I have created. However, I can’t seem to figure out how to insert a link to a set of ‘year pages’.All the options seem to suggest that there are ‘Post parent’, ‘dates’ ‘category’ or ‘tag’, but I can’t insert a variable to make the custom post type go to its parent page as suggested by the url.
Maybe I’m missing something? But the documentation doesn’t mention something that seems helpful in this particular case.

In reply to: Where to place php loops, get_posts ?Thank you very much! This has been very helpful.
I am surprised that there is no UI for a case like this.
The problem is, I guess, that I can’t write php myself so I would need an example to get forward. Would that be possible, please?Forum: Plugins
