I checked with my hosting provider and I had a redirect for index.htm in the base .htaccess file that was causing the issue. Moved the 301 redirect to the subfolder .htaccess file and all is well.

I know the url2.com’s nameservers are pointed correctly as I can access the first post of the blog using “url2.com/post1” and everything looks correct. However, when I just access “url2.com” it brings up “url1.com”.

I’m thinking it is something with the way wordpress built the .htaccess file when I installed wordpress, but I don’t know where to start and was hoping someone else has had the same problem.

Sorry if that didn’t make sense…hopefully, I can explain this correctly.

The hosting account has two folders /wp and /site

URL1.com points at the /site folder
URL2.com points at the /wp folder

URL1.com is the primary on the hosting account.

I setup wordpress using url2.com, so it set itself up in the /wp folder.
