The titles are now appearing again. This problem is resolved.

Of course I found the problem shortly after posting this. I found that the Yoast SEO plugin was set to add the copyright information and had the wrong year.

While I can’t look at the statistics to confirm this with numbers, the variety in the related posts has improved. I’m marking this issue resolved.

Yes it is fixed. Issue marked as resolved.

When I look at the log, I see that 6 of the posts have had over 1,600 impressions and the 7th post has less than 10. This quantifies what I thought I was seeing. I’ve deactivated the related content module for now, but would like to reactivate it if a solution is available. I rally like the look and analytics.

The site address is https://www.mhmcintyre.us. Take a look at the post https://www.mhmcintyre.us/links-share-8262014/. That is a post where I provide links to other interesting posts. I have left Jetpack recommendations and Shareaholic recommendations both live. Notice that Jetpack recommends two other similar posts where I share links. Shareaholic provides links to other posts which are less related than the ones Jetpack provides.

It seems to me that when I move from post to post, 4 of the Shareaholic recommendations stay the same.

Could this be something that I’m doing with categories or tags?

On the support page, I saw all of the inputs that Shareaholic uses to determine what to recommend. Could the problem be that I have had Shareaholic active for less than a month and that the posts that got shared through Shareaholic are weighted more heavily? If this is the case, will the recommendations improve over time?

So, what I gather from the information document is that Shareaholic gathers data from a variety of sources to predict what else readers might want to see. If that is the case, then as more data are collected, the suggestions will become more refined? I’m willing to wait it out. But, my site is https://www.mhmcintyre.us.

I deactivated Livefyre Sidenotes, cleared the cache, and then Addthis seemed to work fine. I then reactivated Sidenotes and it still seems to be working. I’m keeping Addthis active for now and we’ll see.

Wow! fast load speed is the main reason I’m using SMF. I can’t speak to the coding, but I say that SMF did not slow my blog at all.

Yes, they resolved the issue. Support has been excellent. Review changed to 5 stars.

I figured it out using CSS in my child theme.

This has been fixed. I had a duplicate Livefyre profile which was causing the error.

From time to time, I notice this on every blog that uses Disqus. Sometimes the little Disqus icon just spins around and I get tired of waiting and move on.

Thanks Richard. This was more of a curiosity than a substantive problem. As time allows, I’ll peruse the Google support site to see if an answer appears. Thanks for checking into this.
