In reply to: Configuring RSS Feed widgetThe dropdown is in the widgets panel where you select which widgets to drag to the sidebar.
I know that it may seem incredulous, but I’ve never seen RSS feeds and therefore, don’t have a preferred RSS reader. Any suggestions as to which ones to consider and where to find them would be greatly appreciated. I’ll be the first to admit I’m a dinosaur (I think 60 years old qualifies for that designation). Thank you.Regards,

In reply to: Configuring RSS Feed widgetI have that widget in the sidebar but have no idea what to do with it. When I click on the dropdown arrowhead, all it shows is a field box asking for a title. I don’t know what to call it because I don’t know what it’s for (what purpose its serves). The descriptions for the widgets are extremely scant. PLEASE elaborate. Thank you.

In reply to: Configuring RSS Feed widgetThank you very much! I don’t mean to be so stupid, but how do I get this to appear in the sidebar on my blog page? I’ve looked at widgets and plugins, and everything appears to be for RSS feeds to other sites. I don’t see anything in the Dashboard, and I’ve really made an effort to understand all this. How do I activate, set, configure or whatever I’m supposed to do to make it work? If I didn’t know what the URL was for the RSS feed, how would anyone visiting my site know? When I clicked on the link you gave me, I wondered why I was so totally unaware of its existence. I could find nothing to lead me to it.
Again, thank you very much for your kind assistance.Regards,

In reply to: Configuring RSS Feed widgetOh, it’s been one of those days…
I left off the “?” in the URL: https://www.biophiliapress.com/?page_id=12Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Configuring RSS Feed widgetI made the mistake of replying to the email this morning. The URL is https:// https://www.biophiliapress.com/page_id=12
Also, I tried to change the last part from /page_id=12 to /blog
Couldn’t get it to change.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: Configuring RSS Feed widgetThank you. So how do I create a feed from my own site? Is there a widget or plugin? I don’t know php and all that other stuff.

In reply to: Blog Comment field missingThank you. I tried deactivating all plugins, but to no avail. Before switching to the default theme I’ll contact Photocrati support to see if a recent update may be the culprit. Being a newbie and a photographer, and not a techie, I’m hesitant to switch themes ( I know there won’t be an explosion, but I’m concerned it could throw off more than I can handle right now while I’m trying to focus on content, such as the post I will publish early tomorrow morning). As for resetting the plugins folder, I feel like a clueless idiot.

In reply to: Blog Comment field missingThank you for your response. I tried what you suggested, but no change. What I had overlooked was to check my Contact page. The Comment field had migrated to there! I tried deactivating Contact 7 with no change, and then deleted it, but again, with no change. Any idea how I can get the comment field off the Contact page and back to the end of my blog posts on the Blog page? (I’m hoping to have this resolved before 8PM PDT today, Wednesday.)
