Would love to add this functionality but there is no way to do it on the Network Admin Add Site screen.
Sorry.

In reply to: Deploying a WP-based site templaterisen,
Have you thought about writing the customization as a plug-in? You could ship the plug-in with the export file, write code to import the export file, and then add any customization you wanted.

In reply to: [Site Template] [Plugin: Site Template] Doesn't work at all with wp3.1JPS,
Not sure what’s up. Working on my installs. Can you send more info?
Thanks,
Mike
datapharmer,
Two issues here.
On the first, unfortunately not much I can do. WP gives me no action when adding site from super admin panel.
On the second, I could not recreate in 3.1. Everything looks good for me there. Maybe it has something to do with names of templates? Can you post screen shot?
thanks,
Mike
Hey Paul,
I could not reproduce in wp 3.1. More info would be great.
Thanks,
Mike

In reply to: [Site Template] [Plugin: Site Template] Seems broken with 3.0.4tmelbs,
I created a new site when registering using 3.1 and could not re-create.
Maybe another plugin you have installed?
Thanks,
Mike

In reply to: [Site Template] [Plugin: Site Template] some minor questionsPescadito,
Thanks for the note. See responses below:
1) Can you tell me which widgets and plugins and which options were not copying? I did not run into this problem in testing.
2) Again I’m not sure what you mean. You have to activate a template for it to show up in the blog creation screen. You activate templates through the Sites admin panel.
3) Nothing I can do about this.
Mike
I tested with buddypress 1.2.6 and site template 1.0 and could not recreate the error. Maybe you give more details.
Internationalization code would be great.

In reply to: [Plugin: Site Template] doesn't work correctly since .4OK version 1.0 released. Not really a major release because no new features, but I rewrote the guts of the site copy so that it now talks directly to the DB. Should support custom post types. Should also fix menu problems. Also added code to deal with the issue about non-registered users creating new sites. Make sure to read installation instruction in readme file.
Give it a go and let me know if anything comes up.
Thanks,
Mike

In reply to: [Plugin: Site Template] doesn't work correctly since .4Much thanks for the details. I’ll take a look and see what I can do.

In reply to: [Plugin: Site Template] doesn't work correctly since .4Is the problem that you do not see the radio buttons when you are creating a new site at the same time that you are registering as a new user? If so, are you using buddypress? I can recreate the problem with buddypress but not with the regular WP 3.1 interface.

In reply to: [Site Template] [Plugin: Site Template] Fatal Error upon ActivationIt appears to be a compatibility issue between php5 and php4
but resolvable as described in above link. Will add fix to next release.

In reply to: [Plugin: Site Template] doesn't work correctly since .4I’m still having trouble understanding what’s going on. I see the menu error and can provide a fix for that, but I’m not sure what you mean by “it works only when creating another blog and not for new ones.” Can you explain?

In reply to: [Site Template] [Plugin: Site Template] Use from adminThere doesn’t seem to be a way to intervene in the site creation on the Admin screen. Any thoughts on a possible workaround?
