i think i have found a second best solution/ a work around

i used a html widget and added the script version of open table reservations

now the slider works and they can book also

still would like the widget though

i removed auto optimize
i remove fast velocity minify
i removed leverage browser caching

deactivated and removed

the cache should be non existant now

when i remove the open table widget from the dining page, the scrolling picture at the top works again

disabled minification, cleared cache, turned off auto optimize, still doesn’t work

i deactivated the plugins that optimize, minify, or cache

i put the old stylesheet back
when i view it in IE I see the yellow, but a bunch of white backgrounds also
i think i can fix that via css assigning the background to a dark color

but chrome does not follow the same thing, just stays the colors when i first started

ideas? it is currently set at tribe event styles, with the cache cleared

Thanks for the assistance.
I made a backup of style.css, saved it to make local pc, made the changes you referenced above, saved the changes to the css file in wordpress, updated the site, and cleared cache using W3TC. I have an item in the calendar at https://www.clearwatercasino.com/events/2017-05/ on saturday the 6th, free live music – that 80’s show, it has a category of free-live-music, it should be yellow (#FFCD00) with a black bar to the left (#000000)

I have tried it in both IE and Chrome and don’t see the color.

What would you suggest now?

Thank you for looking into this.

Both sites are now using the same theme, and tribe event styles also.

It is better for me to try things on the clwtr.us site, as that is the test site that will go into production at the end of the month.

The clearwater casino site is live and booking hotel rooms, so I would like to make changes to clwtr first, before applying changes to the real clearwater site.

We are using the w3tc cache plugin, the behavior occurs with it either on or off, also after clearing cache on the site.

currently, the only plugins active on the clwtr.us site are event calendar ones (the core plugin, the pro plugin, and your color plugin) all others are deactivated

one other piece of information, that may or may not be useful

the previous revision of the calendar at 4.1.4 calendar and 4.1.3 pro worked with colors provided by the previous developer hacking something undocumented together using the advanced custom fields plugin

after update today to current versions of both plugins those colors went away, but the color picker for them still shows in the event calendar backend

the dev site (clwtr.us) is set to 2014

the live site (clearwatercasino.com) is set to the theme i would like it to work with if possible

2014 is set with tribe events style for css

the clearwater site is set with skeleton styles

i just tried 2017, that works

how do i get it to work with the main site theme?

the theme is custom, from a developer long before i got here

he left no documentation

yes i switched to all the defaults that start with 20 (2012,2015,…)
