There is not like a feature like this, so I reached out to our team who advised to create an issue: https://github.com/strangerstudios/Basic-User-Avatars/issues/70. This has not been requested before, so our developers may look into this, but I cannot give an ETA if this will be added.

Dictation had a major loss, my apologies, as I thought I wrote profile, and I cannot edit the reply. It should be – The upload is most likely in the user’s profile within the WordPress profile.

There’s not placeholder text, but you can add a hint which is descriptive text shown underneath the field for users. Please see our documentation as well: https://www.paidmembershipspro.com/documentation/user-fields/

I have not seen that message, nor have I come across it in my testing, so the most likely culprit is either a conflict with another active plugin or the theme. To better narrow this down and confirm, could you please temporarily deactivate all plugins, other than the core Paid Memberships Pro plugin, and test whether this issue persists and revert back to us? You can either deactivate them temporarily in bulk or work through them one by one. If the issue persists from there, revert to the default Twenty Twenty One theme. If the issue is resolved after deactivating a specific plugin or your theme, you’ll know that is the source of the conflict.
If you can install plugins, install Health Check. On the troubleshooting tab, you can click the button to disable all plugins and change the theme for you, while you’re still logged in, without affecting normal visitors to your site. There’s a more detailed description about how to use the Health Check plugin and its Troubleshooting Mode in this article: Troubleshooting using the Health Check plugin.
When you identify the problem, please let me know, and I suggest getting in touch with the plugin or theme author.
