I have the same problem too, but only after the upgrade to WP2.5 (didn’t have this problem in the past). Akismet has become way so aggressive, that it is flagging virtually all comments as spam.

I’m curious – does anyone know WHY the two lines created the original trouble? Can you post or point to a link? Thanks.

Found out what the problem was – apparently, Notepad my editor mangled everything up. I used Wordpad, made the carriage returns manually and solved that problem.

Only to get a new one.

I decided in the end to overwrite the comment-functions file with an older version and it works. I’d still like to find out what really happened though ??

Heh…I finally gave up and decided to get help from someone more knowledgeable. He’s fixed the problem for me for USD50. My pupils are now using WordPress MU!

I think I’ve solved this problem. I stopped using the Rich Text function of WordPress, and solved many other problems (like photos) as well!

Interestingly, the problem *never* occurs with Firefox! Been using it to write my posts without any problems!

Anybody has any idea what this reply from the system mean?

I have a very unfortunate problem (not really a problem since I’ve solved it indirectly). I can only access wordpress.com from an anonymous server, due to the Great Firewall of China from where I reside (Shanghai). When I tried to enter my password to access my wordpress.com account, it simply returns to the login page (like what happened with the referrer problems in wordpress).

It’s a good thing the e-mail sent to me for activation of account contains my API number, or else I’ll be pulling my hair!
