In reply to: Add Sidebar to Single Posthmmm. sorry not had any experience with godaddy, perhaps try calling the sidebar in the header.php, put it in as the last line in the file.
worked for me when i was having loading issues, this way whenever your header is present so will your sidebar.
probably not the best way to do it, but works for me.
good luck

In reply to: Help CSS3 and IE checking.ps. yes, the opacity is intentional, but i noticed the older browsers wouldn’t render rgba, so put a second background value into the container that was solid.
ah okay, just tried the code above and it renders the whole sidebar with transparency including the text.
I’m quite happy with the transparency working in safari and firefox, if explorer renders the sidebar with a solid white background then everything is good.
I just had a little freak out this afternoon in an internet cafe when the sidebar didn’t show up at all, very odd, and being a mac user I couldn’t find out where to find out what version of ie was running on the pc….

In reply to: Help CSS3 and IE checking.thanks dtiger. couldn’t get your link to work unfortunately, can’t say i’ve had any maxthon visits to speak of, just trying cover all bases for modern and legacy within reason, I” just give your code a try now, see if it works the same as using rgba.
Many thanks for your help!Forum: Themes and Templates
In reply to: OL LI Comments spacing CSSSorry just done a bit more code alterations and it occurred to me to put the .commentmetadata bottom margin into – space.

In reply to: text overlay image post???Many thanks t31os_
I do have jquery loaded via the LazyLoad plugin, I have tried hardcoding the load jquery function into the header and also into functions.php but couldn’t get it to work and so I used the LazyLoad plugin instead for the fading images on scroll.
I’ll try the negative top margin and see if that works.
Thanks again for your help.

In reply to: text overlay image post???I want the image to be always visible, when the user hovers over the image then the title/metadata fades into view at the bottom of the image overlayed.
alternatively i’d be happy with just getting the text to overlay the image post at the bottom without the hover functionality…
i’ve searched around for a plugin that’ll do this with no luck so far.
