facing same challenge, just questions:
1) Why did you not want to ‘disturb’ ‘the original’, referring to mailpoet-woocommerce-hooks.php I suppose?
Must admit, in trying to avoid overriding adjusted file if mailpoet updates,moving it to my Theme-child does not have an effect, so am not sure where to place the modified file.
1) any suggestion?
2) where did you place your code? in themes functions?

Txs, but I think we misunderstand each other.

The mailpoet Woocommerce add on does give me a checkbox and a subscription filed on the checkout page.
However, I want this checkbox and subscription field to be not just below the ‘customer notes’ field where it apparently is positioned by default, I want it to be placed just above the ‘pay-button’.
How to do this?

(If you say: see my answer above, than my question is ‘ so I have to remove the woocommerce add on? and how to position such a widget on the payment.php?)

Well that is funny,
The reason for starting this topic was because some clients did not receive a mail…
and I have to wait at least a week to see if I will get a mail, and if I get one, to see if the color change has helped.

A pitty the free version has these severe limitations.
Nonetheless, thanks for your support.

Checked them. Colors are standard woocommerce mail template. All other woocommerce mail templates are ok and can be red. No settings for color of ‘links’: there is where the problem is: links do work but are not visble.

In the meantime:
After a week and a half 1 customer received a ‘review’ mail. None of the other customers did as far as I could check (including myself, testing things).
The one who received a review mail, could not see the links on the order list in the mail: the links were there but could not be seen (white on white).
Any clue how to solve this?

‘wc-empty cart redirect’

URL is hardcoded.

for some reason…
