I’m searching good ideas to create lots of options with the existing questions in the database.

Another idea : Is it possible (for you) to create (without efforts) an option “Duplicate” for a quiz ?
For example, when a quiz takes a long time to create (with images and hundreds of questions), it would be easier for the webmaster to duplicate the existing quiz and to remove questions “with a click per question” or to modify the timer, instead of recreating “question after question” the same quiz with less questions.

I can do it. I’m not a developer, but I use text editors for years, csv files and I modify small thing by myself in PHP or other languages (but I don’t create from nothing).

Thanks for your suggestion. I use csv files for a long time, because I created hundreds of questions (and like nobody is perfect, I found and corrected lots of bugs in my files). I use OpenOffice and I have a big screen to display many columns at the same time.
The names of my images are all different and easy to “guess” when I search one of them.

I’d be glad if you give the method to connect images to the questions ??

So, I added easily lots of questions. Because there was a lot, I made mistakes. And when I wanted to REMOVE these questions from the quiz, it was impossible to use the “bulky” method.
WordPress just proposes to update (adding the selected questions to a quiz), not to remove selected questions.
I don’t ask a solution from you if it does not exist (you are not the boss of WordPress). Maybe there is a plugin, but plugins + plugins + plugins… = lots of loopholes for hackers.

Excellent response! It is the opposite path from the one I used.
I have tried your method and it works great. Tried adding questions already added to see if they would be erased or saved twice, but it’s okay.
I tried to add questions “twice” because all my questions have the same title (in a series of 54), so you have to count without being able to find your way around the title, and an error quickly occurred.

But I had another idea on the same page : If it’s not complicated, is it possible to display the number of questions for each quiz ? It’s just a suggestion, not a formal request.
We could see :
#3 Additions and subtractions (20 questions)
#4 History of New York (10 questions)
etc.

OK. So, it’s not so easy. I believed the template was like a “grid” placed on the data to display them differently.
For the moment, we see the data “like a quiz”, but we could observe them like a “page to print”.
I did not asked “the same page twice, once for a quiz and later the same questions for a page to print”. We could choose the page to print like the quizzes, in a random way, and sort them later, when composing the ebook.

Yes, it’s just to see clearly how many quizzes (in fact number of files uploaded) are in the list.
I don”t know how you will do that, because the list is in alphabetical order, and if we add a new line, the line could be anywhere in the list… except if you give a fix number and if it’s possible to choose “alphabetical order or numerical order”.

I believe I found a solution for the “print quiz”. By chance I activated a cache system on my website. And the quiz was all the time the same choice among the pool of questions. So, a mini cache could be used to “print the quiz” (5 questions at the same time).

I tried a plugin (I can’t remember the name) but it was impossible to print the questions of the passed quiz. It was like a “reset” and I just saw the start button !
I quickly remove this plugin because when I removed the code from my articles, the button “pdf” did not disappear (and I did not use a cache).

The true problem is to “freeze” the questions (+ answers) of the quiz to print them. And like you wrote, to format the pdf before printing it.

For you, it could be like a “parallel quiz”, with a request for 5 random questions independent of the quizzes for players. It’s really another job.

The hidden idea behind the pdf generation is to create ebooks and to sell them as a “byproduct” on Amazon ??
Lots and lots of quiz books are sold everyday.

After having thought a little about the subject, I realized that there are already plugins which allow to generate pdf documents from a page (I just typed “create pdf” in the search window for WP plugins).
So my question now is: Have you ever tested these plugins, and if so, can you recommend one? Thank you.
