    Hi Ales,

I can confirm that the conflict with Lazy Loading in the EWWW Image Optimizer plugin has now been solved.

That is a great result of this dialogue. And I experienced (after the initial slow response to my messages until contact was established) a very positive and constructive dialogue between Ales from CMP and Shane Bishop from EWWW, who gave excellent input from their end on ways to solve the conflict. And it’s great that you could then so fast implement the solution.

Just for completeness I can also confirm that this plugin works with WP Rocket and their Lazy Load functionality. But you should probably only use Lazy Load from either EWWW (free and paid) or WP Rocket (only paid). But now we have both options, and that is just great.

Thanks Ales – I will upgrade my review from 3 to 5 stars (as this is a more fair rating, now when this issue has been solved) and adjust a little bit of the wording at the top. But I will leave almost all of the dialogue as I think it might be of value to some, to see how the developers are active and worked to solve this issue. Which is really important for the best plugins.

I will also keep my premium subscription to the CMP Coming Soon & Maintenance Plugin. Thank you for solving this issue!

Hi Ales, thank you for your feedback.

Yesterday I saw that you regularly reply to messages here in this support requests forum – I didn’t even give that a thought, as I was sure that the direct communication through the plugin should work.

I will try to send another e-mail through the plugin, to try to problem solve what the issue is.

With regards to the actual bug, which apparently is a known bug, I just wanted to give this additional input for you and anyone who wants to make these two plugins work together (I have a premium lifetime deal on the EWW Image Optimizer Plugin and it is really good, so I will continue to use it ?? ):

For some reason your plugin does NOT conflict with the WP Rocket plugin’s (another great plugin) “Lazy Load” funtionality, so I can make your plugin work, together with (basically the full value of) EWWW Image Optimizer by disabling “Lazy Load” in EWWW and enabling it in WP Rocket.

I here assume that the Lazy Load in both plugins are of about the same code quality, speed etc.

The only problem for many will here be that WP Rocket is only available in a paid version ($59 for 1 website, $299 for infinite), so that kind of makes it a “paid” solution to this issue.

I am afraid that a lot of people (like me) will install and activate the free versions of the two plugins (this one and EWWW), and naturally enable “Lazy Load” in EWWW (as it improves your “score” there), and then just experience this grey picture background issue and not understanding why. This issue should probably be flagged a bit more clearly.

It should be possible to implement a Lazy Load function in EWWW like in WP Rocket (or perhaps it is not possible due to some technical setup reason), but I will also contact EWWW and kindly ask them to look into this issue, and whether they could not fix it.

Simultaneously with this plugin I bought a lifetime subscription for another Coming Soon plugin on AppSumo (sometimes two plugins for the same functionality does make sense, as various sites require different setups), so I am seriously considering your offer of a refund (as I think this is a serious bug – and I might not continue to buy/use WP Rocket, which enables me to solve it), but you do offer a good plugin with valuable differences to the other plugins, which might justify the reasonable yearly subscription fee for your added themes of $49.

    Have a nice day.

Well, you state it very clearly yourself: “you have to agree with me that each business has its own model as long as their customers are accepting it.”

So as long as wordpress users are buying your plugin, you will consider this a fair business model…

I therefore think it is very important that the wordpress community should be aware of this business model of yours, as I don’t feel it respects the usual WordPress community values.

And if users just accept it and pay for your Pro version, this business model might spread. That would be a pity for the WordPress community in my view.

I have paid for upgrades to “pro” (or similar paid plan) for Elementor Pro, Essential Addons. Ultimate Addons and Premium Addons (am also considering Elementor Extras by Namogo). As far as I am aware all of these plugins to Elementor will let your existing projects remain intact if you don’t renew your license.

Elementor itself states this on their Frequently Asked Questions page about Elementor Pro: “What happens if I don’t renew my license after one Year? Will Elementor Pro still work? Your existing project will remain intact. The only difference is support, updates and access to premium templates which require renewal.”

I have noticed that you are not listed on Elementors “3rd Party Elementor Add-Ons. Talented developers have helped grow Elementor even further. Explore the most invaluable third party add-ons for Elementor“:

    https://elementor.com/addons/

I can only guess as to why that is, but one realistic reason could be that you just don’t play by the usual WordPress community values, and is therefore not recommended by the Elementor plugin creators (that your plugin is a plugin for).

And I think people should seriously consider this before using/buying your plugin. That is the reason for me taking time to write this review.

Personally I have – at least with your current “business model” – decided to solve my page builder needs with other paid plugins, recommended by Elementor.

    —ooOoo—

Regarding your comment about “support” – I HAVE sent the e-mail, and I have no way to know how YOUR spam folder works. I know of no other example where my private e-mails have gone into a spam folder. I see no reason to “knock us on our live chat so that we can help?“, as that was where I started and you have already replied to my answer and I need no further “help”. I just wanted to know if this was really your business model – which you unfortunately have confirmed.
