In reply to: fatal errorWORKED! I deleted the plug in via ftp and the page loaded.
Whatever they’re paying you isn’t enough!
Thank you so much.

@littlegraymouse – it started working again after upgrading to the latest release v3.4.11 so icegram must have fixed something in the app – they have not admitted so, but I suspect they found some incompatibility with other apps
littlegraymouse – mine works perfectly now BUT I’m curious to know what solution you found that is much better. Asking for a friend …
sigh – take a number – I am about to ditch this app – hopefully this gets attention soon
I deactivated and reactivated and no help – in a day or so I’m going to uninstall and reinstall to see if that does anything – I’ll report back when I have done that
until then, best of luck
LOL my bad – that’s not from IceGram’s Email Subscribers subscription service – that’s a WP form I made to temporarily replace Email Subscribers.
Yes I am using an smtp plugin (Easy WP SMTP).
Here’s a live page to see what happens https://www.pjhsmusic.org/test.
Thanks for looking into this and sorry for taking it down and not redirecting you.

In reply to: moving wordpressok that worked, I was able to get all the content back and the site is working again thank you so much
BUT … the fix for moving the site url *still* didn’t work and I followed the instructions closely
I added a redirect to the site so at least they can use it on their business cards now, but I’d really love to get rid of the /wp
thanks for the rescue …

In reply to: moving wordpressok I just broke the website – I changed the site and wordpress url to the root root after moving everything there (all the wordpress files) and now I cannot access the dashboard.
https://www.lisadobiaslmft.com is what I want the the site url to be and https://www.lisadobiaslmft.com/wp is the wordpress url – right nbow https://www.lisadobiaslmft.com opens a temporary page.
What can I do to retrieve the dashboard and finally move to the ideal url?
Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: moving wordpressThanks ClaytonJames – I went ahead without the .htaccess file but the site url did not change. Any ideas?
Also, I don’t know how to create an .htaccess file manually but am game to give it a try.

In reply to: can't turn comments offok – found it – rather counter intuitive but I see it and am able to turn off comments – thanks

In reply to: can't turn comments offStill trying to turn off comments. I cannot find any link nor button nor option to globally turn off commenting.

In reply to: can't turn comments offI already tried going to the specific page but I do not find “on screen options at the top”. Can you be more explicit?
It is strange not to find what I would think ought to be a global command for ‘comments on/off’. WordPress seems to agree with be because on the dashboard main page there is a link which says ‘turn comments on or off’.
Thanks for the help with this frustrating issue.
