There’s a really useful article that would help you if so. But I’ll let the plugin creator link it as im on my phone. You wouldn’t get the post count in JavaScript as such. You would set it in PHP and then return it with your ajax response.

I don’t really understand this. The store locator displays stores that have been added to the database. It starts out blank with no stores.

You just login to the wp-admin dashboard, head to store locator, and delete any locations that are not yours.

But im not sure how you got them there to begin with unless you imported a CSV that contained your competitors.

Any user with the appropriate roles/capabilities can add and edit stores. You can use a user role plugin to assign the appropriate capabilities. You can also limit their ability to edit/delete each others stores.

The roles are pretty well self explanatory.

Worth mentioning this isn’t exactly “frontend”. They would use the dashboard
