Fixed: Apparently the word “lynx” in my posting was triggering the mod_security! Argh. Filtering on a particular word for security doesn’t seem that great, but oh well…

I just tried a new blog which I just installed a couple weeks ago, which has minimal plugins/content/database size and it’s showing the 404 when I try to Save Draft also.

Oh yeah — I deactivated all plugins on all three sites to test. No luck.

Talk about breaking something that was nice and simple. I’m fighting with this now and trying to get “category_name” to do what I want, like the linksbyname used to do. Grrr…

Thanks Kaf. The problem is, though, that I would like to maintain the excerpts but have the image, which is the first thing in the post text, included.

So they should be compatible with an image+excerpt if that’s possible. I’m guessing it’ll take a hack or a plugin to make this happen. If it would just not strip HTML tags, that would do what I need. I know I can probably hack this, but I want to see if there’s a proper/correct solution first.

Thanks much for the help, FruitFly. I will go check that CSS doc out as well. I definitely need to learn about the ., #, >, and other weird modifiers that aren’t immediately obvious to me!
