In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Multiple Sites – DropboxNo problem. We converted our website to WordPress not too long ago and are now checking out different backup plugins and features. Between internet hackers, hosting providers not backing up everything like they claim, paying lots of money for people to setup our site but didn’t implement a backup plan, we decided to be proactive and find solutions on our own.
Keep up the good work!

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Multiple Sites – DropboxMy apologies, I was looking at my FTP folder when I wrote that part about the log files. Having the ability to specify the name of the directory in the case of having identical WordPress sites (ie. Production and Test) is needed. The ability for the backup job to create a different folder for each job would also be handy too.

In reply to: [UpdraftPlus: WP Backup & Migration Plugin] Multiple Sites – DropboxDavid,
There is a need to have the ability to point the backups to specific folders in Dropbox. I agree that “different” WordPress websites have unique names or random file names. If you have two “different” website names, then all the backup files are named after that website but the log files are not. The log files are cryptic and look something like this “log 5347a89ghsf489.txt”. Looking at these file names, I have no idea as to which log files belong to which WordPress website or backup job. The second reason you need to have the ability to specify a directory is to have the ability to separate the backups of two WordPress sites with the same website name. I have a copy of my production site running in a test environment where I test and apply my changes to it to see any updates break anything. I backup my test environment once I prove an update is successful. A third reason would be for ease of separation of the backup jobs. If you want to do a daily backup and keep 14 copies or two weeks of backups it would be nice to have the backup job create a folder name and append a number after it for this reason.
