I deactivated the ad inserter plugin and everything is ok now. That sucks though because I want my adsense ads in my blog. Do you know a good stable plugin for this?

    Thanks

I replaced all files as instructed (not wp-content). Logged out and back in. went to justadash.com/wp-admin/upgrade.php, got message saying No Update Required
Your WordPress database is already up-to-date!

Went back into control panel and still showing 2 updates needed and when I click the update button I still get the original error “Fatal error: Call to undefined function wp_get_current_user() in /home/justadsh/public_html/wp-includes/capabilities.php on line 1028”

    Any other suggestions? I’m lost…

Good profile. You certainly appear to be an expert on the workings of WP as I am certainly not. My expertise in WP is nill and I hope I didn’t offend you because that was not my intention.
I thought that maybe I could go into the affected file and edit the line said to be affected. I am not an expert therefor I asked for help. I appreciate your instruction.

I just want to make sure that I dont lose my blog because I have lost 2 so far by messing around trying to fix them and wp seems to be finnicky when tooled with.

Can I just go into the database in cPanel and repair it instead of uploading all of the files again? or edit the affected file? Is uploading new files the only option?

To whatever I need to do to update whatever needs updating…

    I will follow your advice.

Is this a guess or factual repair procedure? I am worried because this blog has tons of content that I dont want to lose.

I am not belittling you I dont know your level of expertise.

    Thanks

Did they just change the layout and look of everything? if so I wish they would just leave well enough alone when things work fine. I am very new to the workings of wordpress and was only just getting familiar with the interface. Now I’m all freakin’ lost…

No, there is no admin bar plugin. Surely you are familiar with “Super Admin” dropdown control button that is supposed to sit above the “Dashboard” dropdown control button?

Super Admin is gone. also, when I used to click on sites, the sites page would come up showing my domain and subdomains and had a section below that which is where I added more sites.

It has an input area ******.mydomain.com and it is gone.

If I click the dashbord for my main domain then plugins there are only a few plugins in there and have just “Activate” next to them.

Whereas if I click Admin in the upper right, (for my main domain, which I’m still on from dashboard) then click plugins, there are the rest of my “missing plugins” with “Network Active” and no “Activate” and the plugins that showed up from my main domain dashboard are not included with the ones when in Admin > plugins.

    Thanks

And what, you have to pay for support for open source wordpress?

Yes, I posted a request for support with not being able to log in to my wordpress site over 6 hours ago.
