Yes I managed to fix it eventually.

Just to add in case anyone has the same issue – a full manual update solved the issue for me. Not sure what caused it.

Since WordPress prefers not to trouble themselves with their users’ technical issues and deems it sufficient to let us discuss and concoct solutions amongst ourselves, my issue was finally resolved by talking to my domain host.

The problem had something to do with the DNS pointing to the wrong site resulting in a blank preview, once they changed the DNS the preview started working.

Talk to your domain host you’ll have a better shot at getting some help.
