This sort of cases is rare, and it’s usually caused by NO_AUTO_VALUE_ON_ZERO SQL mode.

Having this SQL mode removed or manually setting “gid” column’s auto-increment should permanently fix it.

I am sorry, but I don’t think that Basic Thumbnails captions-view.php used to display title+descriptions before. I’ve just installed 3.41 and confirmed that the titles aren’t displayed.

Perhaps you were using a custom display type or Pro Thumbnails Grid with captions view enabled?

This looks like a problem caused by the script not being able to locate one of the plugin’s files, which may be happening either due to insufficient permissions on the server or due to the file missing.

I think it is safe to assume that the issue was temporary now that it works fine for you, but please let us know here should it reoccur.

I am sorry to say that currently, we don’t have a sync metadata feature for Envira Gallery and as previously recommended, we can only suggest re-uploading the images.

I’ve made a note of the feature request, and we’ll keep it on our radar to be reviewed as we plan out our roadmap for the future.
