I understand that you guys are threatening to sue a third party over no solid grounds. I also understand you are slandering me by calling me a spammer. Thankfully all of this is neatly documented here with proper screenshots and all.

I am not linked to referrer spam websites, lol! I am someone who is trying to run plugins to PREVENT IT. Look at my previous plugin reviews! How can you lie here when everyone can check my previous downloads/comments and see that you are making this up!?

I am trying to prevent my damn data & analytics from showing up SPAM in my reports. Is this not clear!?

Thanks for lying out here in front of all. This is why I intend to keep this thread alive. Everything is documented for others to see what happened.

Sean — as I do. We got that in common.

1) You emailed my employer threatening to sue them while they have nothing to do with this thread. This is not an employee account or anything of that nature.

2) Not at any point did I act on behalf of my employer — You did this by Googling me, finding out where I work and threatening to sue someone who employed me? Wow. What do they have to do with me flagging a plugin conflict issue on your page? Think about this. Your free plugin was used on a personal website. Not a company one.

3) I am done here considering its absolute nonsense and you are hell-bent on suing someone over nothing.

That wasn’t slander. You are the one who called me a spammer/competitor/etc. I adjusted the review to 3 stars instead of 1 but I’m keeping everything else so they can see everything that went down. Not sure how you came up with the a lie that I am a Spammer. <— This, Sean Doyle, is slander.

I have no connection to spam other than as a Web Producer/Analytics specialist, it annoys me to high heavens when my reports never come clean no matter what I do with filters in GA or with .htaccess. I also have absolutely ZERO connection to being a competitor in any way shape or form. You came up with this slanderous lie all on your own and that speaks more about you than it does about me as a product user.

You flat out lied and said ‘you said this thing about many plugins.’

I tried 3 plugins for referral bot spam and somehow, all 3 had some sort of issues or maybe 1 or 2 caused issues with others?. (My account is obviously public so anyone can verify my previous reviews for plugins of this nature.) Could it be that running more than one of these plugins causes conflict? Did I say the same thing about every plugin, NO. I posted error messages in hopes of developers responding and pointing me in the right direction. You handled this like an amateur.

Running ‘Analytics Spam Blocker’ ‘Bot Block’ and your plugin obviously caused some issues so you should look into it.

I realize online reviews stress developers/business owners out but you are the one who jumped at my throat. I didn’t write or post DONT USE SEAN DOYLE’S PLUGINS!!! I posted an error msg and wasn’t sure it if was due to your plugin or someone elses. Call me out all you want, but you’re the one who’s coming off as aggressive. You could have handled this professionally and perhaps asked ‘hey, any other plugins causing a conflict? What else are you running?’

Yes, your plugin is free but that is your choice. Does FREE mean you are immune to supporting users? Why even waste time if you’re gonna come off as angry? I see you provide a wealth of knowledge about this subject but you are not handling online support properly. Not at any point of this review did I slander you and say your plugins are shit or anything close to that nature.

Tell ya what — I’ll learn not to run more than one plugin of the same nature and you learn something about PR and how to interact with users of your products. Right now you seem like the type to avoid, no matter how strong your development skills are. Perhaps turn your products into paid service and hire someone to do customer support for you.

If you got the power to remove this review, by all means. Go for it. I wasn’t knocking your work, was merely curious why it wasn’t functioning right.

And yes, I did leave reviews on 3 other plugins of this same nature who spit out different errors. I logged the errors each time.

Good luck with your plugin, it obviously wasn’t right for my domains so I will continue searching for ones that do work on my end. That’s all.

Spammer? No, just a web guy running plenty of sites. I don’t know what to tell you. My errors went away when I got rid of this plugin. I’ll gladly do a video recording of how this happens.
