Thanks for the suggestion, are the _nav_menu_role and _nav_menu_role_display_mode the only meta keys you use?

for _nav_menu_role, there are 85 records, 25 with an empty meta_value, 2 with the text “out” and the rest are well formed serialised arrays

For _nav_menu_role_display_mode there are 12 records with the text “show”

I still have the problem, the only way I can get round this is to build a new menu which is quite time consuming. This suggests that there is a corruption within the database which is causing the save to fall over.

Yes, I log to a file and there are no messages when the save fails.

There are a lot of menu options, I will try upping the POSt limit.

    Thank you for your help

Thanks for your reply, I do have errors logged and no messages appear. I have also deactivated all plugins except Nav Menu Roles and it still fails, it only works when Nav Menu Roles is deactivated.

    Thanks for your quick response.

The first two causes don’t apply but I am using Clean Talk to filter out spam, I have just added a whitelist for worldpay.com.

Further investigation and I am now sure the function is not run by the publish_post action. I have moved the relevant code to the functions.php in my child theme and the function does run, however at the time the function runs, the entry for the post/category has not been added to the wp_term_relationships table in the database and as a result no emails are sent out.

If I visit the post in the admin screen, the category is flagged and pressing resend causes the mails to be sent.

Would this be a timing issue because the code is running in the themes functions.php rather than a plugins php file?

I have tried Admin Menu Editor but although it lets me set up access to the Orders menu for the Shop Manager role, the Shop Manager cannot see the Admin Menu without being Administrator

It is not a reference to the DOM that is the problem. When I enter bbb.co.uk in the browser address bar the .htaccess rewrites this as aaa.co.uk/bbb and as a consequence, aaa.co.uk/bbb is displayed in the browser (which is what I would expect under normal circumstances, however I have installed WordPress MU Domain Mapping and set up aaa.co.uk as the primary site and added a mapping for bbb.co.uk to aaa.co.uk/bbb.

Before getting into the technical part of this, the simple question is – Can you set up a multi site installation where entering aaa.co.uk in the browser leaves aaa.co.uk in the address bar and if you enter bbb.co.uk, the address bar shows bbb.co.uk and not aaa.co.uk/bbb

    Thanks
