In reply to: [Gutenberg] Updating FailedNiresh – I have W3, but the setting was already on Don’t cache. So thank you, but not the cause of my problem.

In reply to: [Gutenberg] Some Good, Some Bad, but auto-save and save errors are awfulNo idea, Wicky. Not going to try either. Am perfectly happy with the old editor.

Interesting attitude to preparing software for a release to millions of users.I never have the error with the standard editor, Otto, so while I bow to your greater expertise, I will stick with the old editor, which never throws up this or a comparable problem. The only thing I changed is activating a plugin, so it does seem plausible that the plugin has a fault or a feature that is in some way connected. Now it is deactivated, all is well again.
It seems to me if WP is planning a huge release, and has issued a plugin so people can test it, then there is a possibility the code is not perfect. And if the code is perfect and it doesn’t work right, with my host’s server, then I doubt I am alone.

Thank you – I confess I’d left this in the ‘too difficult’ bucket. But WPX service is excellent, so I’ll speak to them.
Following the links I get an error page on my hosting site ‘If you are seeing this page, it is because there is no website installed on this domain yet.’
But, of course there is a website installed.
I use W3 Total Cache.
Thanks

In reply to: [Yoast SEO] focus keyword in first paragraphThis happens to me a lot – with no formatting around the first para and sometimes with the keywords as the first words. I’ve even tried copy and paste from the keyword box to ensure no mis-typing. This is frustrating, as it has been going on for a long time. It would be great to have a fix for this.

In reply to: [Better Click To Tweet] Twitter handle in visual editor boxYour password extension theory is plausible. As a data point, I use Safari on Mac, and it does do some of my field-filling. Meanwhile, it’s sporadic, and I know Safari does not dominate the market, so thank you for taking it seriously.
Fair enough on the prompt feature, by the way – your plugin: your rules!
best regards

In reply to: [Recent Posts Widget Extended] Background Request BlockedI think this is WordFence working normally. Until it detects the Thrive action in learning mode, it detects the activity as potentially harmful.
I only needed WF in learning mode for one cycle of saving a TCG visual editor page. I then re-activated it, and now, I assume, it knows enough about the Thrive actions to see them as user-intended.

In reply to: [Recent Posts Widget Extended] Background Request BlockedYou’re welcome. In fact, on another WP thread, someone suggested setting WordFence to Learning mode – that way, the link will be whitelisted as well. That is also what Thrive recommended to me.

In reply to: Background Request BlockedThank you Matt. Learning Mode was the advice Thrive gave too.

In reply to: [Recent Posts Widget Extended] Background Request BlockedI’m getting this too. And because I am using Thrive Content Builder, the dialogue is coming up under a layer that means I can’t click to white list. GRRRR. I use WordFence and wonder if this is part of the problem.
