Original poster is correct. I have it on two sites and has completely lost all function, looks and does not display anything except your tows name.

I installed this plugin and within 15 minutes of setting it up I had login attempt notices being mailed to me by my Sucuri Security. After reading this thread here it seems that not only do we have to install the plugin but we also have to modify our htaccess file and our wp-register.php file???

So then…what is the plugin good for then if it doesn’t handle this itself?

Does not work….a huge waste of time thinking this would be a good backup plugin. Never made it through even one single session without the error the OP described. I did try the suggestion and the same result. For the author to say “no general fix” is almost like saying he does not take this seriously…such a shame. If your trying to get me to the paid version of this plugin, this sure as hell won’t if the free plugin doesn’t at least shine a tad and show premium qualities.

Same issue…Broke every site I run and I really liked your plugin and my hosts are not going to bump up to 5.3.2 just because I ask them to (I tried). I have 6 sites on iPage.com and I can not use your plugin anymore…such a shame.

Hey Turtile! Is that the way they figure it out? I thought also that they run a bot that just simply looks for wp-admin login hits after the URL? For example, if I see a site that I like I just type wp-admin after the URL and see if a login page pops up. then I run Firebug so i can find out the theme name and then go buy it.

You may be on to something but I am not sure. Thanks for chiming in ??

I am looking for ways to stop them from even getting to the login page and looking for an answer on my other question about the login that happened on one of my sites with a systemwpadmin.

Thanks for replying Evan but I have no idea what you are referring to? Why would it do then when it never did before? I mean one day out of the blue it just appeared and nothing else has changed. Like I said, not a code guy so it there a file I need to replace or something I need to adjust somewhere? My main concern is since my site is under attack everyday (like most of our are) I was worried something got modified by an attacker somehow…but if it is nothing I should worry about then it really does not affect anything…kind of know what I mean?

I have sucuri scan installed on all my sites as well as a login limiter. I get email messages all day from hacker failed login attempts…however the site is still in good shape. The site has very few plugins and the login logo plugin is up to date and I use on other sites with no issues (it does not manage format…only logo). I have had this site up for about 2 1/2 years and the only time I do anything is to just apply updates, so no…nothing new really added at all.

I am not really a “code” guy so it is hard for me to look for unusual coding, but I do know I have never seen this on any login page before!

Ok…I am not a code guy so are you saying just paste what you printed above into functions.php and then just change the location of the image?

Do you know why they made this so difficult for the average user? Sometimes I think people forget that WP is suppose to be an easy way to develop good websites and blogs and that not everybody is a coding/php expert!!!

Ok, I activated your plugin and don’t see a way I can connect to an external database (database name, host, user, password) which is where I need to update and add in the information…so I am guessing your plugin only uses the wp database???

Thanks for the quick answer. The data base is already contruceted with over 15,000 entries so the CSV has already been imported. All it has is one table and 6 fields. So basically, when he gets new songs I just need a way for him to add it into the database with the song info which would be like song title, artist, ect…

That would be great!!! Any hints or tutorials on how to set this up? It would be for admin use only…nothing public except the output of the database which I already have setup and displaying.
