In reply to: [WooCommerce] Pending PayPal paymentSee https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/orders-stuck-on-pending-2/ which is probably the same problem. My Pending orders from a day or two ago are now starting to receive their IPN’s.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Orders stuck on pendingHi everyone,
As of 12/09/2018 at 19:22 Sydney Australia time one of my Pending WooCommerce orders received it’s IPN from PayPal and went into Processing state.
It seems that this issue may be resolved and hopefully the remaining Pending orders will receive their IPN’s when the next auto retries from PayPal occur.
Still haven’t received any PayPal payment notification/s so far.

In reply to: [WooCommerce] Orders stuck on pendingBut surely both ends of a transaction need to ‘talk’ to each. If an API is setup in PayPal then those API/Credentials would need to be used by WooCommerce so WooCommerce needs to know and use them?
I did look in the PayPal API section but could not find any credentials setup there.
All my Completed Payments in PayPal show an IPN status of “Retrying” so I’ll be contacting PayPal business support when they open tomorrow.
Interestingly the PayPal “HTTP response code” values for the “Retrying” IPN’s is blank, it’s like PayPal IPN cannot reach/find my site. Normally you would see response code 200.
I did see in the WooCommerce PayPal debugging log a string that included
cancel_order true
which seems odd but I don’t have any debugging for a fully working transaction to compare against.Forum: Plugins
In reply to: [WooCommerce] Orders stuck on pendingIn Woo’s settings I could only see API credentials used for processing refunds via PayPal which I don’t do, but others might. I don’t use any PayPal API credentials in WooCommerce (as far as I know) – I’ve certainly never gone into PayPal any requested/setup any.
I find PayPal IPN goes awry on my site/s maybe once a year and it’s always been a PayPal issue previously.

Hi,What is the “website link” you are referring to in your circumvention?
Is it the ….
/wc-api/WC_Gateway_Paypal/
as used by IPN or something else? Thanks in advance, Mike.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Editing %product_list%Hi,
The easist way to sort that out is to use the WP Shop Styling plugin.
With that you can set up the emails with whatever content you want so I would expect you can do what you want there.Regards,

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Duplicate Site Transaction Results goes to wrong pageI would have thought the URL was controlled in Settings->General then WordPress Address and Site Address?
Maybe the old URL is lurking elsewhere in the database so you can try scanning the database for the old URL to se if/where it’s still there.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Users can checkout without a user accountFYI you don’t need Gold Cart just to get a grid view. I’m not familiar with Travelify but themes can do that for you eg. Blanco allows the user to flip flop between grid and list view.
You should also take a look at other ecommerce plugins. WPEC seems to be losing much of its user base showing 40,000+ active installs – I’m pretty sure that used to be hundreds of thousands?
We lost our theme and PDF Invoice providers over the last year or so and its harder to find replacements in the WPEC world now.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Checkout displaying details for a different userWe had this issue a couple of years ago after we enabled caching even though we added the checkout pages to the exclude pages list for the caching plugin.
Basically we had to turn the caching plugin off and its been off ever since.
Keep in mind that if you have a cart widget on every page in the header or sidebar – like many sites do – your caching plugin may reject those pages because of that.
I know our caching plugin supports WooComnmerce but makes no mention of WPEC.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Is WP eCommerce Right for Me?I doubt WPEC could do this.
Maybe look at Woocommerce, that has lots more developer support for themes and add-ons. Whilst I prefer WPEC I would not start a new site using it these days.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] IPN settings for PayPal Standard in WP eCommerceIn the past when we stopped receiving IPN’s from PayPal they (PayPal) investigated and said it was our fault and suggested we add the website URL to my PayPal settings but that didn’t help. It was there fault which they later acknowledged.
Basically just tick IPN in your WPEC payment settings and that should be it.
When I look in my PayPal “Do not receive IPN messages” is selected however we do receive IPN messages ok. Also it says we will have no IPN history as IPN is off but we do see our IPN history.
Mostly for us when IPN has not been working it’s been a PayPal issue – usually them not sending the IPN. Once it took them two days to send several IPN’s to us. It also happens but is rarer to see PayPal having sent the IPN and our website failing to receive or acknowledege it’s received it.
Overall, IPN is a weird area.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Checkout Page Calculate Shipping seems redundantThe only reply to your post is YES. It’s really bad how it works now.
Some of our customers feel like they’re stuck in a loop. There should not be two places where customer input causes a shipping recaluation to be required. In our case it’s especially annoying as we only use flat rate shipping so no calculation is necessary.
This post is worth reading https://zao.is/blog/2014/12/10/remove-shipping-calculator-wp-ecommerce/. We used that plus some CSS to remove the Calculate Shipping section etc but it may only apply for flat rate situations.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Using WPEC without transaction/payment functionality? The two main things would be to control the email content sent to the customer and also what they see on the transactions results page. Both will have WPEC content you don’t want – including some that is (when I last looked) hard coded.
Controlling the email content is easy using the Shop Styling plugin – see https://www.ads-software.com/plugins/wp-ecommerce-shop-styling/ and https://wpshopstyling.com/. I use it on all my WPEC sites to override everything in the standard WPEC emails.
The same plugin also has a premium add-on to set the content of the transactions results page.
In WPEC Payments Settings you’d use the Test Gateway (aka Manual Payment) as your only payment method.
In Shop Styling you’d set up the Manual Payment email with whatever text , product list etc you want.
I don’t use the transaction results add-on (but probably should!) however if it’s consistent with the email styling and its PDF invoice add-on I do pay for then it should be easy to configure that.
This has been asked before so you may be able to find additional/alternate suggestions elsewhere in the forum.
Good luck.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Disable payment alltogether (also customer emails)The WP E-Commerce Shop Styling plugin allows you to totally customise all WPEC emails.
You might not be able to suppress the customer email but you could make it say something appropriate for your setup. We use Shop Styling and its PDF Invoice add-on on all our WPEC sites to replace all the standard emails and produce tax office compliant invoices.
You may also need its premium add-on ($15 fora single site) to customise the Transaction Results page because usually that goes on about pending payments as well.

In reply to: [WP eCommerce] Product Quick Edit removes pricesOops,
Apologies, I now see in https://www.ads-software.com/support/topic/quick-edit-field-values-not-working/ that version 3.11.4 will fix the quick edit issue.
