I had read that page prior to trying out WP, thing is, the way I see it, ALL of those requirements on that page is exactly what is need for any site of any platform so I am not seeing any advantage using WP over html or any other type of site. Am I wrong or is there any added advantage to using WP over other types of sites? Please note, I am not here to start any arguments, I am now thinking that since I already code all of my sites using html then it does not make sense for me to learn a new system for SEO purposes when that new system will not provide any SEO advantage for me?

Sorry, when I say “here”, I meant in the WP Custom Header Editor, it says:

You can upload a custom header image to be shown at the top of your site instead of the default one. On the next screen you will be able to crop the image.
Images of exactly 940 × 198 pixels will be used as-is.

But as explained earlier the header in the link is bigger than what the “custom header” allows so I am trying to figure out how they got that bigger header in the link to work?

I wish too use but problem now WP is asking me to ‘crop’ that header becuase it is larger than the default header, what I don’t understand is how in that site they were able to use a larger header and I can’t here?

I have built Html sites before so i can do HTML and CSS but never worked on a wordpress theme or site before. I am trying to follow the tutorial you linked to [thanks] but I think a little of it may be outdated or either I may be missing some things.

Also, is there an easy editor anywhere which wil allow me to change banner, edit content and place images where I need them?
