In reply to: [We’re Open!] An idea…I tried just the refresh, but as that didn’t work, I uninstalled and reinstalled. That didnt make any difference. As a test, I changed some other labels, saved, refreshed, etc., and they all worked fine. For some reason, it’s just the new fields that don’t save for me.

In reply to: [We’re Open!] An idea…Hi, I tried the refresh as indicated and also reinstalled the plugin. I see the options to add the text for midday/midnight but they still don’t save or display? I used Command Shift R, but the notes displayed also show the fields are empty.

In reply to: [We’re Open!] An idea…Hi there
I see the functionality has been added to specify labels for midday and midnight text which is great. However, text entered doesn’t appear to save/display. Can this be looked at?
Many thanks

In reply to: [We’re Open!] An idea…Hi,
Thank you so much for this, I hope everyone else also enjoys the new features. Of course, I fully appreciate you incorporating some of my suggestions into an already great plugin. I also completely understand that you may not include all the suggestions you receive.
Thank you.

In reply to: [We’re Open!] An idea…Hi again,
I just had another thought: maybe add the ability to display 12:00 as Noon or Midday and 00:00 as Midnight? Possibly by user-definable labels?
e.g. using the example, tommorow would display as:
Tomorrow: Midday – Midnight

In reply to: [We’re Open!] Great plugin :)Thanks for the very fast response to this, much appreciated. I was thinking myself about how you would programme this. I wondering if one easy way to be to compare the actual opening time (only) with the current time (only). If the current time is after the opening (or closing) time it can be assumed to indicate tomorrow. If however, the current time is before the opening time, it can be assumed it is today? Would that work? I will take a look at the forum.
So, if the current time is 6am and the shop opens at 9am, it should indicate ‘opens today at 9am’. If the current time is (say) 7:30pm and the shop opens at 9am it should indicate ‘opens tomorrow at 9am’. This would only work if this bit of code was nested inside the other function on deciding when the shop was next open. This would work without the need to compare dates etc., I think.
Hi there
Thanks so much for helping out. That worked! That worked I’m pleased to say.
I do really appreciate your help with this. Currently, I have no knowledge of PHP. I must try to learn at least some.
Thanks
Mike
Hi many thanks for the response.
Unfortunately an error for the first line was reported as follows:
Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘&’ in /home/customer/www/michaell355.sg-host.com/public_html/wp-content/themes/flatsome-child/functions.php
I’m not familiar with php so not sure how to correct it. Can you help?
Currently, the functions.php file is empty except for: <?php – is that needed etc.? Although I tried with and without but still had an error.
Many thanks
Mike

In reply to: [Event Tickets and Registration] Unable to change RSVP statusHey
Sure, sorry for the confusion.
Firstly, in the events tickets option, I checked the options to require users to login to RSVP or buy tickets. This works fine, they have to login to do either.
However, once logged in for RSVP or tickets, it is possible to change the name and email address as to who receives the confirmation. Both can be changed, even to a fake email address. The problem with this, is when looking at who is attending the event (looking at attendees) I see the name and address of a person that isn’t a user, so I have no idea who logged in to obtain the tickets. Even when I export the list, it still doesn’t not indicate the name or email of the user that actually logged in.
The reason I want to force login is to make sure that we know who is attending and that the person is a member (even if they bring a guest).
Also as the email can be changed, if a typo is made there is no bounce back, no one receives the email and no indication is made to either party.
I think it is fine to be able to change the name, but not be able to change the email address away from the person/member logging in, if that all makes sense?
Thanks
Mike
Oh and – very quick reply! Thanks ??
