In reply to: [Sermon Manager] Text/html no longer showingSame problem here. Interrestingly it was only those sermons created with 2.30 that were not showing the description. Those previously created with 2.20 and earlier showed just fine.. Rolling back to 2.20 brought back the descriptions for the missing ones.
Incidentally we use a customised GeneratePress theme.

In reply to: [Simple Staff List] New staff not showing on front endJust a thought. Is your client using a cacheing plugin that bypasses the cache for logged in users only? Ie does the page need the cache refreshing? Would explain your symptoms.

In reply to: [Simple Staff List] Cross site scripting vulnerability@curtismchale This is what I have for the report. Sounds promising if there is a version for review which sounds as if it is trying to address the issue.

In reply to: [Sermon Manager] Sermon Manager changes HTTPS to HTTP in “enclosure URL”I’m having this problem too. It would be great if this change could be made permanent, or at least offer an option to use https:
Great. Thanks.

In reply to: [Sermon Manager] Problems with WP 5.5.1That’s good to hear.
I have been a lifetime sermons pro subscriber since its introduction, so I don’t need to join again (I hope) but I can’t see how to upgrade to the latest version of pro. The beta I am running doesn’t list it as available and I can’t find a download link anywhere. So how do I get hold of it?
Thanks.

In reply to: [Sermon Manager] Problems with WP 5.5.1Oh, one thing I forgot to mention. I am still running SM PRO Version 1.0.0-beta.13.
I believe there is a newer version but I’m reluctant to update in case it makes things worse! But it doesn’t offer an update version, so I guess I would have to do it manually, and I’m not sure where to find that.
I have been able to develop a temporary work around to the problem of not being able to publish new sermons, by taking a very old sermon and editting that with the new details, changing publication date etc. etc. This SEEMS to work OK, but it is not a long term solution obviously.

In reply to: [Sermon Manager] New Imports not showingYes, this is a long standing issue. My experience is that it takes exactly one hour after publishing for the sermon to appear via the short code. As you say, it does immediately appear in the archive.
What I observe is that if you look at the all sermons view you see that the “preached” time counts DOWN from 1 hour, while the “published” counts UP from zero such that the sum is always 60 minutes. After one hour, the sermon appears in the short-code and the “preached“ time counts UP From zero.
This has been happening for at least the last year or two, and I have just got used to living with it. I did report it to the original authors, but they couldn’t find a solution. I thought at one time it was something to do time zones or daylight saving time, but that seems not to be the case. I have since moved hosting to a different time zone and the issue persists summer and winter.
Once the current hiatus has settled down, it would be nice if the current team could investigate this, but it is certainly not high priority IMHO.
