I had tried it with a small file it appeared to have loaded before playing, although very fast but i figured cause the video was very small…

I also tried with a larger file, hosted somewhere else that i found online as a sample mp4 file that was a larger file. and it seemed to play before it was finishes, quickly… .

But now, i will be testing this myself after i convert 1 of my large files, but the progressive playback does count on the video header, correct?

So, if the plugin does play before video loads, this also depends on my file?

But now I’m wondering…
This would test the playback of video, but not the actual script choosing to Fall Back…. if a another video did not work.

Since its just one video its only going to seek one video?

Just my thoughts

the flash player doesnt come up on the page.. when the video area is just black ,i right click and i see disabled html5 video controls.. so somethings not called the flash player??

ok before i hit Post, i tried it in IE TESTER, i had to install flash through IE tester to get flash working through it anyways, then refreshed the page and now the flash file is player.. cause when i right click it.. says Flash

so i guess disabling html4 in firefox doesnt really work that way??

would still appreciate some feedback of possible

hey LongTail is there an estimated release date of this? I really am looking forward to it and theres just no other options.. i cant seem to fix this myself and would like to know if i could expect it some time soon

oh im not using auto connect either. only FB plugin i use is a OG plugin for FB OG tags. .

drummergirl, im having this same issue but im not sure how it is you fix this, i did use wp minify, but iv since removed the plugin.

When i use this in my functions.php, it does remove the canonical url, but it also removes the OG:url property as well..

my issue is the slug for my Static Home page is being used, canonically, and in facebook OG:url property, getting .com/home/

etc..

is there something i can do to stop this, id like to use canonical urls too, but whats really important to me is to stop using the static home page slug, anywhere.

im working on some things that might actually give me an income and i certainly intend on donating… your plugin is seriously the most useful one ill be using soon. on top of everything else, video is the only thing thats not easy to get just right on wordpress since theres no real video functionality.

i played around with it myself changing the is_ statement around but to no avail.. what ever it needs to be changed to im not good enough to figure it out

yeah it does seem real far to go for all of that, but on a business note, not a damn person is doing this, and some people could use this and save tons of money on bandwidth there for, your plugin would be pretty advanced, and you might consider charging for it.

i know id pay for it.

i love how youtube does it cause its like fit for the person watching.. with a button that allows you to select the different quality/res

I got the first part working, the player resizes, but the video is way cut off from the player

but i dont understand what you mean for the second part.

the second part seems to be Video specific, im using the short codes?
the second code looks like i would paste it for every video i post.. not sure how to work it

and now actually reading the rest of your post i see you pretty much said the same thing, so ill have to hold up until its more figured out.

Hi, what about different files for different resolutions..

i think thats the next step for self hosted video like this, how do i deliver a file intended for a 320width screen… to a 320w screen

youtube does this, they have like 9 different files, 3 file formats, 9 different resolutions.. or something about like that.

while im here i might as well just ask, how can i make the plugin “responsive”

what about HD, id like to make all the formats HD but have a non hd fall back. ?
how ever my hd question comes to be, could you point me to the installing the HD plugin on top of the regular wp plugin? is this actually a wp plugin or is it different than install a wp plugin?
