  • Hi there, I’m experiencing a similar issue after the 5.3.2 update.

I’m using Genesis framework and a static homepage using their ‘Blog’ template for the widget areas.

With the business directory plugin enabled, all the widgets disapear from the homepage when viewed. If I look in /wp-admin/widgets.php they are all there as expected.

A quick run through the plugin screen, switching stuff off and back on narrowed it down to the Business Directory plugin.

I’m away from my desk with only limited access to the site, so can’t do any more indepth debugging right now.

I’m having the same issue. No matter what I do I cant get popup maker to set the cookie so the popup just keeps reloading.

I’ve posted in the Facebook group as well

    Thanks Bas, I’d spotted that.

I take it the Pro version just works seamlessly with the standard version when it comes to buttons already created?

I’ve just tried running the back trace code, as soon as updated the plugin it failed and gave me just same error as before:

PHP Fatal error: Call to a member function get() on a non-object in /wp/www/cluster/mysite/wp-includes/query.php on line 28

I’ve followed the instructions above from @keanpoh and that gets the plugin to work for me.

I get the following output at the foot of the site

Backtrace from warning ‘Undefined variable: transient’ at /nas/wp/www/server1/mysite/wp-content/plugins/untappd-checkins-widget/untappdwidget.php 221:

    Hi Paul,

Thanks for the update. Some of it was from one of my clients who manages their own updates and while competent, they are very detailed in checking why something needs updating.

    Mike ??

I’ve just updated to the latest version that has fixed issues on some sites and broken a previously ok site with the following.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘]’ in /srv/domian.co.uk/public/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/jetpack/modules/publicize/publicize.php on line 409

Is Jetpack getting too big now?

I’m getting a couple of fatal errors on different sites.

Parse error: syntax error, unexpected ‘}’ in /srv/domain/public/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/-jetpack/class.jetpack-post-images.php on line 146

    and

    T_FUNCTION in /srv/domain/public/htdocs/wp-content/plugins/-jetpack/class.jetpack-admin.php on line 7

Following on from this, today I also found that the plugin kills the Add Media button on the create content screen.

Sadly I’ve uninstalled this and will look for a different solution for serving ads.

Given that there are a couple of reported issues with this plugin and custom themes, would it not be worthwhile at least doing some investigation in to possible conflicts?

IMHO people are far more likely to look for another plugin to do a required function than change their theme to allow a plugin to work.

I’d love to use it on one of my sites, but I can’t expect the site manager to copy, paste and edit code for each ad they want. It’s a shame as this looked like just the tool for the job.

I’m having the same issue, if I click the Add Media button I get no code in the body of the form.

If I go back and look at All Ads I see the thumbnail but no main image.

The only way I can get this to work is to manually create the code for each ad, which is far from ideal.

I’m using the Magnovus theme https://themes.purethemes.net/?theme=magnovus again a premium theme.

Any suggestions as to way forward? The plugin is ideal for what I need but I can’t keep copying & editing code for each ad.

I’ve been away for a couple of days so sorry for the late reply.

I have other installs that run on the same host that run without any issues :/

I’ve just upgraded to 3.1 when I click on the Update Network link to go to mydomain.com/wp-admin/network/upgrade.php I end up in a redirect loop that fails.
    Safari returns:
Too many redirects occurred trying to open “https://mydomain.com/wp-admin/network/”. This might occur if you open a page that is redirected to open another page which then is redirected to open the original page.

Nothing has changed on my install in months no new plugins no new sites nothing. any ideas?

I had this problem in IE but no other browsers

I deleted wp-admin & wp-includes and uploaded fresh copies from WP 2.7 with no luck. I then started to remove plugins and the one that ‘seems’ to have caused the issue was podpress which had been hanging around for a while and I had missed deactivating it..

Dunno if this is of any use to you but it worked for me ??
