OK thanks for help from other comments – it was also by generated css internal WP name in theme/plugin. May be some detection than more than several thousand files exists -> and display some warning on every admin page will help.

The same happen to me, but during several months it creates 50+ GB mmr/ directory. Now I am trying to manually delete it.

I am also using Minify HTML plugin together.

Currently a lot of files is created there and I am unable to list anything in that directory. I try to keep an eye on this folder to find some rules why new files are always created.
