Thanks. After removing all of the plugins I figured out which one it was. I have ‘multisite-user-management” plugin installed, and didn’t really know how it worked. I think I have it now, thanks.

In reply to: Restrict user access to just one of the multisitesI have a slightly different issue but it is perhaps related:
I have an Editor on a sub-site who is able to add/edit Users and List Users.
He is seeing ALL Users from my main site, plus ALL Users from all other sub-sites.
Is this normal? Is there a way to limit User Lists to only the site they are assigned to as Editor so they only see their own subscribers and not all multisite subscribers from all sites?
I may have answered my own question, but need to test it to confirm.
Possibly one of these plugins will suit my needs:
More-Privacy-Options
Network-Privacy
Limit-Blogs-Per-User (maybe)WP3.0.3 multisite, using S3 Member on sub-site but not on main site.
ditto on email notification (particularly support of this in next release)

In reply to: possible WP bug related to upgrading plugins?Cool, I hope this solves it. I guess according to the WP bug tracker we’ll know if that was it in just over 24hrs or so.

In reply to: [Image Widget] Image Widget: Download failed. Not FoundI think that is the issue…the naming of the zip file.
I tried to upgrade “Article Directory” plugin to version 1.2, it gave me the “Download failed. Not found” error.
I went to the WP plugin repository and downloaded the zip file, renamed it from “article-directory.1.2.zip” to “article-directory.zip” and it installed just fine.
So to get around this problem:
- delete existing plugin that requires upgrade
- download plugin from WP plugin repository or plugin homepage
- rename zip file to remove version numbers at end of file name
- upload new/upgraded plugin zip file
Now I need to figure out how to submit a bug report on this issue.

In reply to: [Image Widget] Image Widget: Download failed. Not FoundNow I’m not only getting this “Download failed. Not Found” error when upgrading plugins, but when trying to install new plugins. This is really hindering my production since I can’t upgrade or install plugins due to this problem.
I have one hunch I want to follow up on…maybe it is related to the zip file name having “zipname.5.4.3.2.1.zip or some crazy thing like that for file versioning.
Here’s an example:
Downloading update from https://downloads.www.ads-software.com/plugin/add-to-any.0.9.9.6.9.zip… Download failed. Not Found
Can anyone confirm this with some testing by downloading and renaming the zip file before upgrading?
I.E. download plugin, rename zip file, de-activate existing plugin, delete existing plugin, upload new/upgraded plugin zip file.
Of course this would be a pain if we had to do this for every plugin upgrade. But if we could identify that this is the problem we can submit a bug report to WP team.

In reply to: [Image Widget] Image Widget: Download failed. Not FoundRecently I’m getting many of the same errors when attempting to upgrade plugins (not the ‘Image Widget’ specifically).
The error reads:
An error occured while updating nrelate Related Content: Download failed. Not Found.
This has been happening to many plugins. Sometimes if I retry to updgrade it takes on the 3rd or 4th try, sometimes not.
Any ideas?
Multi-site 3.1
Not sure why, but when I disable the plugin entirely my site looks just fine (all images are there, and ‘page-cornr’ is appearing where it should be)…and my site is still loading faster than before I installed W3!
Is it due to htaccess rules remaining from W3?
I actually have one of each type of installation: sub-directory and sub-domain.
I’ll try working with the sub-domain for now until everything works there.
I’m using sub-folders configuration.
@MileHighTechGuy- Any problems with domain mapping before installing W3TC? [No.] Did you activate and configure W3TC separately for every site? [I tried activating it on MOST but not ALL of the sites separately. I want it working before I potentially break many other sites.] Are you using the same Theme for every site? [No. I have nearly 12 sites (many more to come) each with different theme. If that is what is required I’m not willing to go there.] Some themes don’t work with multisite. I got around this by using a different version of my Headway theme for each of my 2 sites.
I could sure use help in configuring W3TC with WP3 multi-site + domain mapping.
I tried a few configurations until I found one that didn’t break my website (the default config throws things all awry, including putting one of my sub-blogs meta TITLES, CONTENT, and THEME onto my primary blog/website’s home page!).
Once I found what I thought was working (visibly at least), I found the following problems still existed:
- broke my ability to use Coda as my page editor (hangs up every time it loads my website)
- Admin login was persistently being redirected so I couldn’t log in (login redirects back to login)
- errors showing on my site after 2 days (plugin errors all over the page, no content showing)
I was forced to delete the plugin so I could once again manage my sites.
Do I need to create sub-domains for each blog and put the db.php, advancedcache.php, etc. files into each sub-domain folder?
What is recommended for all the config options in this scenario?
Help?
Getting error on activation:
"Warning: array_flip() [function.array-flip]: Can only flip STRING and INTEGER values! in /home/mysite/public_html/wp-admin/menu.php on line 415 Warning: array_flip() [function.array-flip]: Can only flip STRING and INTEGER values! in /home/mysite/pub"
WP3.0
I’m using W3 Total Cache. I just went through the tutorial and applied the changes, including updating all of the rejected mobile agents and clearing the cache.
The same result on my iPhone.
Any other ideas?
