Would it be okay to just copy the wp-admin folder from my existing domain to the add-on domain? It sure would make life easier… since I uploaded the WP folder, and extracted it in my file manager.

willie, I couldn’t find my .htaccess file either. The dot indicates its hidden. When you log into your file manager it should give you an option to show hidden files. (I just learned that today. hahaha)

I just went and checked….. I can find the .htaccess file in the public_html, I can’t find it in the public_html/wordpress in the root directory.

I’m beginning to think it can’t be done. (sigh)

Somebody else told me that if I already have https://example.com/wordpress, then I can leave the files where they are and just move the index.php and .htaccess from public_html/wordpress to public_html. Sound right? So I can just move those two files in the root directory and be good to go?
