In reply to: How do they do THAT?I’d like to use this as well. Any tutorials or instructions for setting this up in WP 1.5? I tried to add it to the plug in directory and changed the ending from phps to php, but that didn’t work. I then edited the script to say “content” where rap was and altered the body tag to <body onload=”sa()”>.. still no avail. Some well guided assitance would be appreciated!

In reply to: Login redirect, but not Windows serverI guess I should add that I ‘succesfully’ make it through the install. The databases are set up as they should be.. I’ve had to delete them many times!! ??
I’ve tried using php5 and now I’m down to php4.3.. I was using apache 2 but now I’m using 1.3… I still use mysql4.1.8 but I can’t see this being part of the problem…. though.. I’ve been more wrong before.

In reply to: Login redirect, but not Windows serverI go to login at localhost/wordpress/wp-login.php and it brings up the name and password screen as it should.
I enter my name and password and essentially, the screen ‘goes’ nowhere. The url is the same except for the info at the end of wp-login.php
https://localhost/wordpress/wp-login.php?redirect_to=%2Fwordpress%2Fwp-admin%2F
stuff that looks exactly like the redirect issues explained for IIS servers.. only I’m on apache. This is wordpress 1.5 AND it happens exactly the same on 1.2.1 and 1.2.2.Initially, it would show me the wordpress directory after I clicked on ‘login’, but that hasn’t happened since I’ve worked through some of the ‘fixes’ on this site. Now it just shows the login page over and over.
I should express.. this is on a home PC running windows 2000 and wordpress 1.5… I am meaning to dev this at home and upload to a server later.. but I have to be able to play with this software to be sure it’s what I want to use.

In reply to: Login then see directory treeI have the same problem on 1.2.1 I’m at a loss. I’ve downgraded to php 4.3 and apache 1.3, so I was hoping in all that I would get a fix.. but that’s not the case.
Why, when I log in, do I simply see the wordpress directory listing?

In reply to: Login then see directory treeOtay… the htaccess file has stopped the directory tree from listing on the page.. but it still doesn’t move past the login page.

In reply to: Login then see directory treeDo you have an index.php file in /wp-admin/ ?
Yes, I do.
As for the .htaccess files and the server settings.. let me try those real quick.. I have a sneaking suspician the apache modifications may be what’s missing

In reply to: Login then see directory treethat was the only option in the file when I created it.. and no change with that yet either. Where can I get an old copy of wordpress? I hear some have had luck with installing version 1.2.2 then upgrading to 1.5.
I’m suspicious that I don’t have a PHP 5 setting correctly adjusted. Anyone got any ideas on that?

In reply to: Login then see directory treemy folder options are set so that I can see hidden files. Should I have an .htaccess file?

In reply to: Login then see directory treeallow me to admit how un educated I am in this department. I’m only vaguely aware of what an .htaccess file is, much less how to go about setting one up. Help?
EDIT: A brief search of my apache directories reveals I have no htaccess files whatsoever.
