  • Hi,

    Thanks for sharing the details.

Can you please try to test the LDAP connection using uid or DN (Distinguished Name).
Also, once you have entered the correct credentials (as expected by your LDAP server) will be able to see the green ticks instead of red cross.

Perhaps we can schedule a screen share support call for debugging this. You can schedule that from the Setup Call tab present in the plugin or you can contact us here.

    Thanks

    Hi There,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

The issue you faced could be because you are using an outdated version of our Directory Sync Add-on which may not support the currently installed version of PHP you are using.

You were able to sync only 1000 users due to the fact that the?Active Directory uses a variable?MaxPagSize?that controls the maximum number of objects that are returned in a single search result.

Even though you have solved this?problem by changing the search base, unfortunately, this is a temporary solution.
Luckily, we recently upgraded the codebase of the Directory Sync Add-on and introduced the ability to sync more than 1000 LDAP users at once irrespective of the?MaxPagSize saved in the Active Directory.

For an upgraded version of the Directory Sync Add-on, please contact us.

    Hi Johanna,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

Yes. It is possible to import Active Directory users and their data to WordPress site.
We provide Sync Users LDAP Directory add-on that allows you to sync/import users from Active Directory/LDAP Server to WordPress and vice versa.
The users will be registered as normal WordPress users in the WordPress site and their profile attributes will be filled with LDAP attributes.

Our plugin has a feature that allows you to authenticate only LDAP users as well as both LDAP and local WordPress users.

Additionally, you can also use our Profile Picture Sync add-on to sync active directory user profile pictures (thumbnail photos) with WordPress profile pictures and vice versa.

Please check out our add-on(s) youtube video playlist by clicking here to watch our demo video.

You can also reach out to us for any other queries or for further assistance for your use-case by contacting us here.

    Hello,

Thanks for reaching out to us.

For the LDAP Server field, you can use the URL or DNS of your LDAP Server.
In the service account credentials, you can enter any user’s account present in the LDAP server to perform the inbound operations i.e. LDAP Login, Role Mapping, and Attribute Mapping.

You can get the above details (LDAP Server URL, Username, and Password) from your LDAP/AD administrator.

Please check out our step-by-step configuration guide here or click here to watch our demo video.

You can also reach out to us for any other query or for further assistance to configure the plugin by contacting us here.
