I wanted to ask again now, as I have not received a reply to my last entry.
As I said, the cache is no longer getting bigger so quickly, but it is getting bigger continuously every day without being reset. At some point the storage space will be full again and I will have to reset the cache manually.
What happens now, what else can I do? Do you need access to take a look at this?I have made the settings in JavaScript as shown in the picture.
I have now waited a few days and observed the behavior of the cache.
The cache is still getting bigger every day, but not as extreme as before. Every day the cache is now approx. 0.7 MB larger and the number of files increases by approx. 150 every day. However, Last Minify cache update remains unchanged and the cache has not been reset, but continues to increase every day.I installed the update on 02.08.24. Every day I checked whether there was a debug log file. But when I click on the new button, I always get the message: “No files was found”.
The cache also gets bigger every day, as already described.Could you please describe in more detail what you mean by this. Unfortunately, I didn’t quite understand that:
“Also can you try disabling the merging/combining feature and see if that solves the issue.”I have installed the update. If there is a log file, I will post it.
Unfortunately, I didn’t quite understand what I was supposed to switch off:
“Also can you try disabling the merging/combining feature and see if that solves the issue.”I have set the cache lifespan to 0 days. After that, the entire cache was immediately empty and the date for the “last minify cache update” was set to 02/02/2024 – 9:49 AM. Here is the development of the cache afterwards:
02/02/2024 – 9:49 AM: current cache 0 MB (0 files) – total cache 0 MB (0 files)
02/02/2024 – 6:30 PM: current cache 193 MB (258 files) – total cache 195 MB (303 files)
02/03/2024 – 11:40 AM: current cache 298 MB (393 files) – total cache 301 MB (444 files)
02/04/2024 – 11:00 AM: current cache 486 MB (633 files) – total cache 488 MB (685 files)Last minify cache update is on ALL DAYS 02/2/24 – 9:49 AM
So even now it looks like the cache will NEVER be cleared.
The website is hosted by Raidboxes. The regular caching is done by Raidboxes, and you cannot activate regular caching in WP Optimize. On the Cache page, the default setting for the cache lifespan is 24 hours. But as I said, regular caching is not activated here.
In minify Cache I have set the lifespan to 2 days.Unfortunately, I don’t know how to insert images from my PC here, otherwise I would also send you the screenshots.
I have set the cache lifetime to 2 days. Here is an overview of how the cache has changed in the last few days.
01/24/24 – 10:00 AM: current cache 65 MB (93 files) – total cache 116 MB (201 files)
01/24/24 – 4:30 PM: current cache 93 MB (129 files) – total cache 144 MB (237 files)
01/25/24 – 11:30 AM: current cache 276 MB (363 files) – total cache 327 MB (471 files)
01/25/24 – 8:30 PM: current cache 397 MB (519 files) – total cache 448 MB (627 files)
01/26/24 – 10:30 AM: current cache 481 MB (630 files) – total cache 484 MB (663 files)
01/26/24 – 5:30 PM: current cache 598 MB (780 files) – total cache 600 MB (813 files)
01/27/24 – 11:30 AM: current cache 764 MB (993 files) – total cache 767 MB (1032 files)
Last minify cache update is on all days 01/23/24 – 9:44 AM
I have set the cache lifetime to 2 days and activated the debug mode.
What should I look for now?I installed and activated the plugin 3 days ago. Unfortunately, it shows absolutely nothing, no error log and nothing else.
Today the storage space has also filled up again and I had to empty it manually.
What else can I do now to help you troubleshoot?I have now asked Raidboxes again and they have taken a closer look.
It is now about the minify cache and not about the Raidboxes cache. It is stored in the folder /wp-content/cache/wpo-minify/. They have noticed that there are countless minified files there. One folder, for example, is 475 MB in size.
Here are two screenshots- This reply was modified 1 year, 1 month ago by mipohl.
No, it’s about the Raidboxes cache. This is getting bigger and bigger. And as I said, Raidboxes support took a look at it and said it was due to the WP Optimize plugin
I have installed the plugin. wpo_minify_purge_old_cache is available and should be executed daily. See attachment
