Oops. Nevermind. I had goofed up my template tag in my child theme. I wish I could just delete my post…

What if, instead, I want to use alx tabs, but tweak the layout a bit in a way that can’t be easily done via just editing CSS* and instead want to change the heml. I know I cannot use the above and then upload a copy of the widgets file in my child directory because then there are function name conflicts.

*for example, in the comments tab, I want the commenter name and the comment title to display on the same line. I can set them to display: inline, but then there’s no space between them. I can keep them as divs and float them, but that’s just a mess. Right now I’ve fixed it by displaying them inline and then putting a :after pseudo-element on the class in the name tag, but again, it seems like it would be cleaner/easier if I could edit the html and change the divs to spans.

Thanks for the reply. I went through one at a time to deactivate JetPack plugins and, for me, turning off the Notifications one seems to make PTE work, but you say you have that one on. Odd.

What plugin is that? If you mean Photon, it’s not activated. I think my problem might be different than that. When JetPack is enabled, the PTE page won’t even load. I get 404 notices for .js files that I don’t get when JetPack is disabled.

Where is it supposed to be? I removed “bottom: -27px;” from the following in Firebug and it moved the box way up, but I think farther up than you want.

I finally got it to deactivate – the status changed on the page – but then it mysteriously re-activated itself before I could delete the files. This is very frustrating.

Right now, when I use the standard loop, only blog posts get shown. Can this loop also include posts of the video type? I’d like this on the home page and archive pages.

I too am having a problem with my comments (see post here) – it’s caching the comments and not updating when new comments are posted. I turned caching off for a while, but traffic to the site is way up and I need to re-enable it. It was working perfectly before I upgraded to the most recent version of WP and Total Cache.

I’m upgrading from 3.3 to 3.3.1 and am having this same problem. I can get to admin pages if if I skip the dashboard (aka, going straight to the posts page), but otherwise, I’m stuck. I’ve disabled w3-total-cache, deleted the folder, set caching to “false” in the wp-config file and deleted all the w3-total-cache files (db.php, etc) and still have the problem.

I’ve also deactivated all plugins, then actually deleted all the plugins from the serve and am still having the problem. Any clues?

I had the same problem until I changed my main content div container to have an id of “content”. That cleared it up.
