One thing: it would be nice for Wordfence to know when I am updating. Obviously there are file changes whenever there is an update for core, theme or plugins. I do my updates manually (myself).

I just checked Wordfence on all my sites and there are 2 notifications….there are 2 plugins needing updates. I updated them and that is it. So the issue got resolved.

@wfpeter thanks for replying. I had that setting at 0.5. I changed to 0.7 and regenerated new keys.

i tried to login a few times since then and just now before posting this reply. No more email confirmation/validation.

Just the username/password and then the 2fa.

The thing is that Google Play and thus Google said I have the latest version. The plugin did not.

Maybe browser-update.org was wrong?

Funny thing, I have an SMTP plugin installed and setup, testing the test mail too and it works.

Not that I agree with it but it is quite common on “lite” plugins to mention their PRO version.

After all, you are getting a FREE plugin that the author(s) worked for a long time building it.

@gounder Thank You. I went to all the links you provided. I then sent WordPress an e-mail (from the first link you provided). Hopefully things get fixed with the plugin.

I am using tortoiseSVN. I thought I uploaded the update. Is the update instant or is there a “review” process? I uploaded the plugin when I created it, then the update I tried to upload is the first update of the plugin

out of curiosity, why is it not included in updates? shouldn’t default themes be included in the updates? why only for fresh installs?

There is a plugin or two that can do that. create the .csv file that has username, password, login username, display name, etc… (don’t have to do all those)…I am sure basic three things to include: username, password and e-mail.
