In reply to: Can't log in anymoreYes, tried them all possible ways to fix it. But no dice.
We tried a /home restore (from t-3)for all the hosted sites and that worked. So things are back to normal again.
Forum: Networking WordPress
In reply to: Can't log in anymoreI thought I made a follow up post here saying that the problem ran across all my WP sites, both single sites and multisites. So it was not an isolated issue.
But I don’t think it was a WP problem either because my sites are NOT fresh installs, they have been running for a few years. My suspicion was that it was a server-related problem (the only “major” thing I can think of doing before discovering the issue was that I fiddled with the PHP configuration, memory size and max post size, before that to upload a huge file). But we (with the server management people) troubleshot it for a while and could not come up with a solution.
BTW I was logged in (to an account when I discovered something truly strange: I published a few posts/pages (and also saved a few ones as draft) and when I went back to look at them, I could not find them ANYWHERE (not in post/page list, trash, on the frontend). They just vanished.
As a final “solution”, I requested a restore of my server from t-3 (3 days before). Now THAT resulted in another set of problems which I ended up spending all of yesterday on (what I did yesterday, you say?). Bottom line, the t-3 restore hasn’t happened yet (sometime today, I think), so I am still unable to access the backedn of my sites. But at least the sites are working fine on the frontend.

In reply to: [eShop] [Plugin: eShop] "Thank you for your order" pageOK, got that.
It DOES work fine. I just needed to make sure that there wasn’t any pre-populated content on the page that I missed.
Thanks for your assistance.

In reply to: [Dynamic Widgets] [Plugin: Dynamic Widgets] WidgetID is not validNow that’s interesting ….
So I just tried it on the FV Community News plugin …. and it worked!
Thanks!

In reply to: [Dynamic Widgets] [Plugin: Dynamic Widgets] WidgetID is not validI encountered this same “widgetID is not valid error when using Dynamic Widgets on the FV Community News plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/fv-community-news/).
Per your suggestion, I raised the issue re: registering the widget using a deprecated method and his response is here: https://www.frank-verhoeven.com/forums/topic/fv-community-news-alpha-2/#post-707.
I wonder if yours2share has received word from the WP PayPal Shopping Cart developers yet if they do, in fact, use a deprecated method for registering widgets.
Must agree … am pretty impressed with this plugin. And, believe me, I’ve tried ALL of them. It’s pretty much my standard calendar tool for a single site.
I wish this worked in a multisite environment, though. I’m still searching for a good one under that environment ….

In reply to: [Event Calendar] [Plugin: Ajax Event Calendar] Multiple CalendarHello
Not sure what you mean by “named” calendars.
I have created ten calendar categories using this plugin, each category can be presented as a stand-alone calendar (as well as unique events list).
I suspect that you can achieve what you have in mind with this plugin, just need to configure it.

In reply to: [Imsanity] [Plugin: Imsanity] Settings no longer availableOK, figured this out – Imsanity disappeared from my Network Admin menu when another plugin (Post Indexer) was activated.
All good now. Thanks for your help.

In reply to: [WordSocial] [Plugin: WordSocial] Warning: array_count_values()I’m getting the same error as in the original post in this thread:
Warning: array_count_values() [function.array-count-values]: The argument should be an array in /home/morebay/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordsocial/wordsocial.php on line 175
Warning: Cannot modify header information – headers already sent by (output started at /home/morebay/public_html/wp-content/plugins/wordsocial/wordsocial.php:175) in /home/morebay/public_html/wp-includes/pluggable.php on line 866
I DO tick the Facebook and Twitter boxes when this error comes up.
The posts did get posted to FB and Twitter, anyway, so this was just an annoyance.
But with my recent update to WP 3.3.1 and Wordsocial 0.5.3, I get BOTH the annoyance and my posts don’t make it to FB and Twitter at all.

In reply to: [Membership 2] [Plugin: Membership] Disable WP registration (?)Thanks. I’m good now.
For a while I thought there was something else wrong because I wanted to create a third level but couldn’t find the button for it, and cloning didn’t work either. But, of course, this lite version only allows 2 levels max.
Thanks again.

In reply to: [Membership 2] [Plugin: Membership] Disable WP registration (?)Register page is empty (except for page title).
If the shortcode is not auto-generated, can I manually write it in? And what would that be?
Then there’s the account page to think of as well. That’s also empty .

In reply to: [FT Calendar] [Plugin: FT Calendar] Generates false 404 errorsThinking the problem I encountered is site-specific, I just started monitoring 404 on another site where I also have this calendar plugin installed
Yes, it is causing the same problem. It doesn’t matter which page/post I view on the site, a 404 error is triggered.
A 404 error occured at the following url: mydomainname.com/wp-content/plugins/ft-calendar/includes/js/jquery.tools.min.js?ver=3.2.1
Referrer: https://mydomainname.com/postname/
What impact would all these false 404s have on my site in terms of SEO? I like this plugin so wouldn’t mind all the false 404s as long as they don’t have any adverse SEO effect (site visitor experience is not adversely affect in any way, I think).
Are these(generating the false 404s) a resource hog?
