You can use the archive feature to do this.

For all posts in 2010, for example, you can create a page that redirects to https://yourdomain.com/2010/. Each entry will have the post title and excerpt.

Had the same issue when I deleted and added pages and didn’t update the MENU settings. The menu tab could still be pointed to a page (check the permalink, not just the page title) which no longer exists.

There are two ways to address this issue:

(1) As suggested by sylvain.d above: disable the requirement for people to register in order to post comments.

(2) Allow visitors to use their established identities elsewhere (eg Facebook, Tweeter, WordPress.com, etc) in lieu of registering. I use the Social Connect plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/social-connect/) for this on my sites.

Those are pages so … try the PageMash plugin (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/pagemash/)

Either of these plugins will be able to assist you:

Grab a plugin called Reveal IDs for WP Admin (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/reveal-ids-for-wp-admin-25/). It will show the category and page IDs on their respective tables.

Try a plugin called Posts Per Cat (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/posts-per-cat/).

Limited to two columns …. but maybe that will suffice?

Grab a plugin called WP From Email (https://www.ads-software.com/extend/plugins/wp-from-email/).

Install, activate and set your preferred From: e-mail address.

Wow! How easy was that! I thought the problem called for major surgery …. but aspirin was good enough for it, it turned out.

Strange. Why not just write out the shortcode here, right then and there, instead of getting me (and others interested) to dig through the forest over there?

By saying How can I remove the comments box from all of my other pages, Rachel did NOT mean disabling commenting. She only wanted to hide the comment area, and for it to be made visible only after clicking an ADD COMMENT link.

It just goes to show how unclear her spec was … or how muddled my thinking was. I really shouldn’t waste my time coming up with a solution that’s way off the mark.
