@Designssimply. Thank you. The class=”alignright” attribute did automatically set after the update. You are absolutely correct about its ‘sticky setting’ status.
For the bigger issue, icon not appearing when hovering OR clicking an image for editing, here is what worked for us.
1. All of our sites have a cache. We manually cleared each cache.
2. The plugins were again all deactivated.
3. Image-editing in two of the sites immediately worked fine after reactivating all plugins. The new image editing interface is very nice/sleek/efficient :).
One other site still did not resolve, but a problematic/incompatible plugin turned out to be the culprit.
So what worked for us is clearing out our caching plugins, THEN deactivating plugins, then reactivating.
