In reply to: how to make 2 horizontal lines in nav barWell, Samuel, your fix did not work. Probable reason is I am working outside of a theme structure.
For future reference for anyone half interested, I made the second line by modifying the page code for the nav bar thus:<div id=”headermenu”>
<div id=”mainmenu”>- Stargate Voyager
- Home
- About
- Healthy News!
- Nutrition Support
- Lifestyle
- Mindgames
- Weight Control
- Cancer
</div>
<div id=”headermenu”>
<div id=”mainmenu”></div>
</div>By adding this in the point I wanted a split I got the result I needed – oh, html5.
</div>
<div id=”headermenu”>
<div id=”mainmenu”>Best wishes and thank you for your considered thoughts and constructs.

In reply to: how to make 2 horizontal lines in nav barHello Tara, I am using raw html. Initially I made a mistake in putting the enquiry to the forum, but then Samuel has been so helpful.
Hope you are not offended.

In reply to: how to make 2 horizontal lines in nav barHi Samuel, sorry to be confusing.
I have a horizontal nav bar that presently has some 12 items on it and I wish to break this into two horizontal bars, one immediately below the other.
Regards
Ken

In reply to: how to make 2 horizontal lines in nav barSorry Samuel, did not achieve the result I was hoping for. I would like to be able to define content in each line of the nav bar. At the moment I get overflow onto the 2nd line.

In reply to: My WP332 post edit page collapses to half sizeOK, update.
The dirty little bit of code has been uncovered – thanks to my ISP.
It was in the wp-config.php file.
So the site was restored, the code (that came with the site when I moved it) was removed from the file, site backed up, salt changed in wp-config, and password to blog changed.Even google likes the site, now.
Much relief, some hair remaining.
Thanks @s_ha_dum (was apljdi)for being constructive and providing guidance.

In reply to: My WP332 post edit page collapses to half sizeOK, this problem has been around for a while (malware) and I followed the google webmastertools recommendations including registering with the group recommended by google.
In the end they felt the site was OK, but it sure does not look like it is.
I guess the dbase is infected and that means all the posts. Very sad.
I have checked the .htaccess file in the public html folder and it looks very normal.
If this is a dirty bit of code in the wordpress files then perhaps I could backup the dbase, clear the site, then reload a fresh install of wp332, and upload the dbase. If the problem recurs it will prove the dbase is corrupted.
In the meantime I will hunt through the php files following the suggestions from your provided link.

In reply to: My WP332 post edit page collapses to half sizeWell I had the site checked after I had tried to sort the problem out and the verdic was the site was clean. Maybe they were wrong and cpanel virus scanners do not pick these bits up (checked scan today.)
If there is still a problem with malware I am completely out of my depth.
I have to run and catch a train now – will be back online in about 5 hours.Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: My WP332 post edit page collapses to half sizeHaving Malware. I had removed the blog listed (listing dated April 2012) and have since relocated the site on a different ISP.
Have just requested a fresh check by googlebot. Apparently there is a robot.txt file needed – uummm
In the meantime, I have really odd problems. The page collapse can be stalled by hitting the esc button.
I have disabled two plugins to see if that will help (went to site and renamed them – cheap and dirty fix…)
Still – no change.
Any ideas??Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: My WP332 post edit page collapses to half sizeWell, after updating the analytics code (site recently re-located), google says just one blog has a bug – BUT when I went to remove it I got message “unable to move to trash”
Sigh or scream… Hair loss moments. Looks like I might need to dig into the dbase – any other ideas, folks???Forum: Fixing WordPress
In reply to: My WP332 post edit page collapses to half size— and to add to the misery, google has re-flagged the site!!!
I cannot edit text, cannot reload WP, cannot use the site…

In reply to: My WP332 post edit page collapses to half size@s_ha_dum (was apljdi)
Thanks for your response.
There is no means of dragging the bottom corner (or anywhere).
It is like a page collapse as I can see the various element above or below others.
I also notice that:
Updates options have vanished
Screen options tag does not open.So I have a seriously dented WP with no obvious option to update/reload it.
Does anyone have any other ideas please

In reply to: category listing not aavailable on post edit pageWell, dumber than dumb sums me up…
ISP gently pointed out the options tag RHS of upper edge of post edit – hah! Something new that I did not know about.Problem solved. Thank you all for your considered responses.
Cheers
Ken – still some hair left…
