In reply to: [Meta Tag Manager] Site Verification ErrorHi,Marcus, trouble at the Meta Tag front. I reached the stage of inserting the Google verification data but nothing seems to getting verified. It must me an error I possibly made somewhere in the process. Your help would be most appreciated. The link below consists of two screen shots, one of the Meta tag the other the Google verification area. I look forward to your response.

frustrated plug-in userAn older version had a menu with all the blog pages and just a tick in the box required to allocate or include widgets- whre is that gone in this current version – it was so much simpler. Right no I cannot get the designated widgets to show on the home page. It all works fine on the sub pages but the home page is bereft of any widgets no matter how many different attempts I carry out.

In reply to: Blank wasted space above header in 2016 themeThanks Firoz. Is there no way of narrowing that space further? I might delete the title under the header- that may help in some way.

In reply to: Blank wasted space above header in 2016 themeThank you,Firoz. Your steps definitely made a difference- the space above the image did narrow considerably-a little more would have been better but I am much happier with it now. Thanks once again for your prompt reply and help.

In reply to: [WP Support Plus Responsive Ticket System] WP Support Plus plugin issueLATEST UPDATE: Problem seems to be Themes. I finally decided to just go the 2 column Twenty Sixteen Theme and after a few changes and menu adding the WPSupportPlus button works 100% without an added ‘support’ in the menu. Even managed an orderly list in menu.

In reply to: [WP Support Plus Responsive Ticket System] WP Support Plus plugin issueAn update. I was convincing myself that it was the Theme (wpcentralpark2col) I had considered that was causing the problem but now that it has been reverted back to Neo Zee, and I deleted the menu and started again, the support page is still getting a “Oops! That page can’t be found” error UNLESS I make it public (appears in the menu). I’m quite certain that it worked OK in Neo Zee before I changed themes.
And on an unrelated matter, but with both themes I cannot place ‘Home’ first in the menu for some crazy reason. In the editing it shows at the top but on site it is second. Any help at all most appreciated.Michael J Ming

In reply to: [WP Support Plus Responsive Ticket System] WP Support Plus plugin issueJust a further update on my Support Plus issues. I finally sorted out the email redirect issue by adding the same email in each time including the admin email- saves confusion. That’s in the settings>email notification>mail settings(2) and administrator notifications(1).All three boxes have the same email address.
The submitted test request redirected to that email as it should. The request is also in the admin at the “Support Plus” icon link.
Right now I’m trying to figure out a way for the sender to have the ticket link included in their notification email The only way they can get to their request is by going back to the support button and from there to “Have Ticket ID?”. The ticket id is in the subject line of the notification email. All the best

In reply to: [WP Support Plus Responsive Ticket System] WP Support Plus plugin issueGlad to help. Yes, I found the instructions a little vague but it is simple to activate once you know what to do..I am presuming you have the button showing-that’s in the settings under “Enable Support Button”.
Firstly preferably you need to create a new page to redirect the button and insert the short code [wp_support_plus]. This is mine with nothing added except for the short code – https://www.this-internet-thing.productpact.com/wp/contact-support/
I have no log in facility on my blog as it’s not a member site so all you need to is tick the box that says “Enable Guest Tickets” in settings and there you have it.Alll the best with your new support portal

In reply to: [WP Support Plus Responsive Ticket System] WP Support Plus plugin issueAll resolved. The instructions could have been made more clearer- had to figure some things out logically myself.

In reply to: A weird request for comments sectionYes it was …and with an extra super perusal of that darn coding I managed to find what I was looking for at the very bottom of the file (comment.php) … searched for that line a number of times- must have had my reading glasses on the wrong way ?? … “Please add a Comment” is so much better in the context of this particular site than “Leave a Reply” whick would really makes no sense to many.
