I have read all of this and am still clueless…!
I have the plugin uploaded, and installed.
I created the writable directory for it.
Photos are uploading, and show in the user’s profile.

But how to make them show in posts and comments?
What and where is the “posts loop”?
If someone could please just give me step by step newbie instructions to make the author’s avatar show in their posts and comments!

It doesn’t take php, I believe…
you need to create a file in your wp-content directory named “uploads”, and then a file in that called “directory” and you need to modify it’s permissions to allow writing permission to users. You can do all that with an FTP server.
That, at least, is the answer to the error you have.

Go to ‘settings’ which will be on the upper right of your screen in 2.5.x versions, and then to ‘reading’.
The first item on the page will be “front page displays” and you can set that to a static page or whatever.

Note: this item will only come up if you actually have more than one page, otherwise the “front page displays” options will not appear.

I have the same problem.
I finally had to copy the URL from the Media Library and insert it using the other “insert image” button, which requires a URL… very frustrating!
I have this problem both on wordpress.com and www.ads-software.com, and on both a PC and a Mac.

I would say check the obvious first…
In the screen where you click “send to editor” or “insert into post” (depending on the version you are using) there should be three radio buttons above that that give options for inserting as “link” “thumbnail”, etc. Check what you have selected there.

You can put several blogs on one database, you just need to change the table name in the wp-configure file.

I didn’t have any plugins… the 2.5 was a first-time install on that site.

I’m not real good at CSS, but could you not make one of the columns float “center”? Is that possible?

Maybe you can go into the code and change that? “edit template”

I believe that instead of “Options” you go to “Design” or “Manage” and then “reading” and you can set which category will show.

I don’t know, I think it’s maybe a bug in 2.5. I downgraded to 2.3.2, and everything is working fine now. Any help would be much appreciated, as I really liked 2.5…

*bump* I need help on this too. My new thread on this isn’t getting answered. I wonder if it’s a 2.5 problem… what version did you upgrade to, surfkauai?
