So, after getting the redirect hack fixed I tried to connect again and it worked. So apparently that was the issue. Thank you for pointing it out – I did find the malware on kanchefurniture.com as well. It was part of the zend-fonts hack from July. Found it in the wp-content/plugins folder.

Yes – that’s a separate (maybe not?) issue I’m working on. I haven’t found it on the kanchefurniture.com site but I’ll review that one too. It does happen for me on the mkdigitalmedia.com site.

I take that back – the rollback worked on one website I manage, https://www.doubledroptine.com.
The original two still do not work. I’ve deactivated and deleted Wordfence security on those two original sites, deactivated and deleted jetpack, reinstalled latest wordpress and added jetpack back to no avail. same error. DoubleDropTine.com never had wordfence security on it.

I’m still having an issue after taking these steps. I used the wp-rollback plugin to take it before the 10.0 beta version and I am able to connect again. Don’t know if that gives any insight.

I was/am having this issue and got it to work by stripping formatting in the text tab editor.

I wrote the shortcode into the editor window on the “Visual” tab and it added formatting. The shortcode was not working properly.

When I went to the “Text” tab and stripped the formatting it started to work.

In the Permalinks setting I do have Custom Structure selected. I have a “/” in the text field. This works in all of my sites – just not with this particular theme installation. I believe it has something to do with the theme I installed.

It appears to be part of your theme. Perhaps a “featured image” that should get the reader’s attention.

Other than that I do not know why it would show up! You can try looking into your template files and see where that <php> line is and erasing it.

You will have to create new images and save them to the same directory with the same name as the image you want replace.

First you should save the original images somewhere in case you really mess up and want them back!

Then you can right click on the image and choose to view the image in a new tab. This will give you the web address of the image. Use an ftp client to upload new images.

If you have easier access to the code you can just upload new images to your media gallery and recode the image address.

Can you post a link to the website you are asking about?

Do you use a web developer inspection add on in your browser? Like firebug or web developer?

The “Home” page of your website will always be a file called “index.php.”
You could make your “Landing Page” with the images be the actual home page, index.php.

Does this serve a specific business purpose? Some companies will create multiple landing pages, especially for different events, sales, seasons, or search terms with adwords. The landing page can be used with a custom domain redirect that is easy to remember.

If you want this landing page to be there forever I suggest you just make it your “home” page. You can assign different templates within a theme to specific pages within WordPress. Look for a theme that fits this need.

try adding the &action=edit on the end of the blog post url and see if that works temporarily?

I’m not sure where the error would be in the auto-generation of the post edit link within your system.
