My question is how can I hide the native language when the plugin is not translating. In both sites I referenced, their native language (english) is not included in the initial dropdown list. English only appears once the plugin is translating. I understand how to add english to the list of languages, but then it will appear as the first option when the user goes to translate the site, which is odd/confusing, since the site is already in the native language.
It’s not in the banner, it’s in the drop down. The red arrows point to “Select Language” (displayed before translating) and “English” (displayed when translating) on the website: https://s9.postimg.io/yu9zcqdy7/Translator.jpg
English appears in the top left, where “> Select Language” used to be. Do you see it? Thanks for your patience on this matter!
Thanks for explaining how the banner works. It makes sense that it’s not possible to use CSS on it. But it seems like my original request for adding the native language to the drop down when translating is feasible, given that the example site I linked does it, and the site uses google translate. This site also has that feature: https://www.colorado.gov/pacific/dola
Is there a way to add that feature? My apologies for not replying earlier. The solution offered did not address my issue, because I was not asking about the display and style mode of the translator. While the translation banner works well for stopping the translation, the gray color blends in with the browser window and is hard to notice. My attempts to change the color of the banner through my theme’s CSS failed. Thanks for responding to my post. If you update the plugin to provide the option of listing the native language only when translating, I think it would improve the user’s experience.

In reply to: [Accordion] accordion image covering options in backendThat worked, thank you so much! Is that something I’ll need to manually comment out after each update?

In reply to: [Accordion] accordion image covering options in backendMy site is still being developed and password protected, so I can’t share the url. But here is a screenshot of the accordion editor interface: https://s22.postimg.io/3o5dicyfl/accordion_screenshot.png
Thanks for looking into it!

In reply to: [MimeTypes Link Icons] Icons not displaying; file size displaysgood news! The icons are working now. I’m not sure if this was the solution, but I found another .htaccess file in a different plugin’s folder, which consisted of “deny from all”. I deleted that .hatccess file, and then added it back, and now the icons work.
Thank you for the plugin!

In reply to: [MimeTypes Link Icons] Icons not displaying; file size displaysI hadn’t, thanks for calling that to my attention! I tried it with the corrected code, but no luck. Also tried changing themes and deactivating all other plugins again. Any other suggestions?
