I was about to ask the exact same question…
I’m not new WordPress(.org and .com), so I know where and how to edit templates, but I’m worried that due to my lack of PHP knowledge that I won’t be able to completely customize WordPress around sites I have already developed.
Hopefully this won’t be an issue if I can pick up PHP in the future, but right now I’d like to integrate WordPress with a site I’m developing ( staging site: https://www.aisf.digital-tap.com ) and don’t really know where to get started.
As for modifying already existing templates, is this something that is looked down upon by creators of those templates or is it generally ok to do so depending on the licensing?
